WHEN Kerry Katona glimpsed an old newspaper with a picture of herself happy and smiling after she was voted Britain's Best Mother, she wept tears of shame.
Desperate and depressed, the star had been spending nights snorting cocaine and knocking back booze to numb herself against the wreck her life had become.
At her lowest point, she couldn't even bear to let her two beloved little girls look at her.
Now in her most brutally honest interview ever, Kerry, 25, tells the Mirror: "I was a complete mess. I was drinking and doing drugs because that was all I could think of to do because my life was such a mess.
