Work got in way of their romance
EMMERDALE beauty Adele Silva has split with long-term lover - former Blue star Anthony Costa, I'm sad to reveal.
A tearful Anthony, 25, told me last night: "Adele and I have split. It's very sad. But we will always remain the best of friends. No one else is involved. It's an amicable split."
The pair, who had been tipped to wed, called time on their two-year romance two weeks ago.
Pals close to Ant say the couple's relationship was strained as they spent a lot of time apart due to work commitments.
Ant is starring in Blood Brothers at the Phoenix Theatre in London's West End.
And Adele, 25, who plays Emmerdale's sexy siren Kelly Windsor, spends most of her time in Yorkshire.
The pal said: "They were both madly in love, but it just wasn't working out. It got to the stage where they rarely saw each other. That caused a lot of tension. Ant and Adele both decided it was for the best to end it."
Earlier this year Adele, who lived with Ant in Hertfordshire, told how he was her "one true love".
But she admitted she was not ready to settle down and found she spent most of her life on the A1. Blonde
Adele said: "I know Ant's the man for me. He's a great boyfriend. When we are apart we miss each other. We don't see each other every day but it means we really appreciate the time we spend together more."
She added: "We speak and text each other all the time. I really miss him."
