NO, of course I wasn’t going to watch I’m A Celebrity... again, and I certainly wouldn’t be tuning in every night for three weeks. But hey! Like many of those viewers who couldn’t resist peeking in on Day One I’m now thoroughly hooked. Along with 99.9 per cent of the population I knew nothing about David Gest except snippets and gossip from the papers, but it took Liza Minelli’s ex just 24 hours to transform himself from tabloid ogre to camp favourite. Totally fearless during his Bushtucker Trial, he revealed a fabulous dry humour when he greeted an avalanche of slimy eels with “Weren’t you at my wedding?” SundayPost |
