Malandra's out of there

Source: ITN

Ex-Emmerdale actress Malandra Burrows has become the latest celeb to be voted off I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

She lost out in the public vote to former EastEnders star Dean Gaffney.

Speaking to presenters Ant and Dec after her eviction, the bubbly actress said she'd had the best time in the jungle.

But she admitted that spending a night in the jungle prison, with Gaffney, was one of her least favourite moments.

When she felt two rats landing on her sleeping bag, she admitted she felt uncomfortable.
Before leaving the jungle, Malandra performed her last Bush Tucker trial with fellow celeb Myleen Klass. The pair won five meals for camp.

Malandra Burrows Booted Off 'I'm A Celebrity'
She is the latest to get the chop...

Malandra Burrows has become the latest –z-Lister to be booted off ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!’.

The ex-Emmerdale star lost out on a public vote against Dean Gaffney (how embarrassing) but had nothing but praise for her fellow contestants.

Speaking to presenters Ant & Dec she said of David Gest: “He’s got an immense charm and great sense of humour.

She show has been good for him. I think he’ll win but they’re all strong personalities.”

No doubt that after leaving Australia Malandra will drift off into obscurity once again…

I'm a celebrity star‘s career launch at Campus

FROM theatre in WGC to the celebrity-strewn jungle of Australia, Faith Brown has come a long way.

The comedienne, 68, is most famous for her impression of Margaret Thatcher.

Now she is imitating the former Prime Minister's daughter Carol by appearing in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!

Faith braved the perils of some slimy creatures - and that's just the other contestants - in ITV1's display of C-lister suffering.

But the WHT was present way back in April 1987 in the early days of Faith's stage career when she was appearing at WGC's Campus West.

Faith's singing and impressions had already been showcased, but the production of Beauty is the Business was her first foray into acting.

She said at the time in an interview with WHT reporter Terry Mitchinson - now our editor: "This is my first proper acting role and I'm loving every minute."

Her acting career has also seen her battling Cybermen in Doctor Who and appearing in Brookside.

At the start of the series Faith was one of the front-runners to win the show at 5-1 - but viewers voted her out on Saturday.

Looking more at home is Australian former pop star, Jason Donovan.

The evens favourite to become 'King of the Jungle' has also appeared at Campus West in its illustrious history.

Jan makes headlines with jungle exit

Jan Leeming has become the seventh famous face to be voted out of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here.

The former news reader was beaten in the public vote by singer Matt Willis.

She went on a journey and a half during her two weeks in the jungle and performed a record six Bush Tucker trials.

As she emerged from the jungle she said, "It's OK. I think I've done enough."

She went through her fair share of difficulty as the public nominated her again and again to take on various horrors to win dinner for the camp.

And she suffered the occasional temper flare-up as she clashed with Footballers' Wives actress Phina and impressionist Faith Brown.

Dean Is OUT

Day 18 Double Eviction

The news that two celebs would be evicted from camp in one go was met with differing reactions.

"Wow!" cried Jason.

"Really?" quizzed Matt.

"F**k," cried Dean with his head in his hands.

"Don’t get worried about it," David told them. "We made it to the last five."

"Two people are going out in the morning," David later said in the Bush Telegraph. "I’m fine about it. I’ve already won for myself. I made the top five out of 12 people."

They must have got rid of him tonight because they know he would never do the last BT and they had earned enough money from the viewers who bought into all the David Gest is the best baloney they were fed the last 2 and a half weeks.

Gest and Gaffney get the boot

David Gest and Dean Gaffney have become the latest stars to be voted off I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!

The pair were given the boot in a double eviction on the eve of the ITV show's finale.

Myleene Klass, Jason Donovan and Matt Willis will now go head-to-head in their bid to become King or Queen of the jungle.

Learning the result of the public vote, Gest told the group: "It's good. I had a great time.

He later added: "It was a great ride. It just was fun. I loved every day of it. I think we will all see each other after this."

Earlier, Gaffney lost out to Gest and former Neighbours star Jason Donovan in the public vote.

But Gaffney, who was a late entrant to the ITV show, walked away with the Where Am I Award in this year's Jungle Awards ceremony.

Meanwhile, the latest Bushtucker Trial saw Matt, Jason and Myleene Klass take on the Celebrity Cyclone.

They managed to collect five stars while making their way along a slippery slope against strong wind and rain.

I'M A CELEBRITY: WHO GEST THAT
I'M A CELEB: AXE FALLS Shock jungle exit for favourite David

DAVID Gest made a shock exit from the jungle last night - after being hotly tipped to triumph in tonight's grand final.

Gest's jungle buddies were stunned when Ant and Dec told him he was getting the boot.

Matt Willis hugged David, 48, and said: "It's really shocked me. I can't believe it."

But the flamboyant Hollywood producer casually shrugged and said: "It's good. I had a great time. I'm happy."

Earlier Dean Gaffney was also given his marching orders.

When Ant and Dec showed the ex- EastEnders star video footage of his stay he was mortified by his screaming during his two Bush Tucker trials. Dean said: "It's the screaming. I'm so embarrassed but I was genuinely scared.

"I'm worried about my daughters. They've got to go to school next week."

But despite the humiliation Dean said he had no regrets about his jungle jaunt.

He added: "It's been the most amazing experience.

"I thought I'd be first out so to come in late and get this far is great. We're all winners." Dean, 28, admitted Gest's laziness had become annoying towards the end.

He said: "He is very well respected. When I first came in I wanted him to win - but by the end it got to be hard work."

Dean backed Myleene Klass to take the jungle crown, adding: "She's been nice from start to finish. It's no act and I genuinely hope she wins."
