JORDAN SON GOT BURNS IN BATH

THE badly burned son of Jordan and Peter Andre scalded himself when he jumped into a bath and turned on the hot tap.

Harvey, four, is recovering in hospital, following the New Year's Eve accident, with his distraught parents at his bedside.

Yesterday, Jordan, 28 - whose real name is Katie Price - and Peter, 33, revealed for the first time how the boy, who is blind and has a growth disorder, injured himself.

In a statement, their management said: "It happened at the family home on Sunday afternoon when Harvey got in an empty bath with his clothes on and turned the hot tap, which scalded his right leg only.

"Harvey has been in hospital, with Peter and Katie by his bedside since the accident and, because of Harvey's medical condition, he needs to be monitored very closely."

A source close to the family said Harvey - footballer Dwight Yorke's son - had been seriously hurt.

The friend explained: "He was screaming in pain and was found in the bath by a house guest while Peter and Katie were downstairs.

"It was a terrible accident which has left everyone very shaken."

Yesterday, Harvey's condition was improving but he is expected to stay in hospital for the next few days.

Glamour model Jordan and Andre were forced to cancel a New Year's Eve party at the last minute at their £2.6million mansion in Ockley, Surrey. They also had to postpone a 10-day family holiday to Australia.

Earlier this week, the Mirror revealed how Jordan had told of her fears to a fellow hospital visitor. She said: "I can't believe it. Nothing seems to go right for us.

"It's one thing after another. He's not good, but he'll be OK."

An ambulance took him to the nearby Royal Surrey Hospital after the accident at 2.15pm. He was then transferred to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in West London once doctors had assessed his condition.

Their management team added: "Peter and Katie would like to thank everyone for their best wishes."

Jordan suffered a miscarriage in July but is now pregnant with her third child. She and Andre also have a 17-month-old son Junior.

Harvey scalded his legs with a pot of tea last year after he pulled down a table cloth. Mirror
