Big Pay Deal For Ant And Dec
Ant and Dec are today reported to have been offered a £40million deal with ITV - making it the biggest deal in television history.
The contract would mean the presenters, both 31, will front primetime shows for the next three years, according to reports.
Ant and Dec were not meant to sign a new contract until September. But ITV was said to be keen to push the deal forward.
The contract would be a coup for Michael Grade, the former BBC chairman who took over at ITV in January. The channel has also won the rights to broadcast England home football matches and FA cup fixtures.
A spokesman said: "We are currently in discussions with Ant and Dec. We cannot confirm anything at the moment but this is a very important deal for ITV."
