DISTRAUGHT glamour girl Jordan last night spoke for the first time about husband Peter Andre’s devastating illness.

As he continued his fight for life in hospital, she said: “He doesn’t even know I’m there.”

The heavily-pregnant model, real name Kate Price, broke her silence as she continued her bedside vigil for singer Pete, 34, who is battling deadly brain bug meningitis.

Jordan says she is devastated she cannot be at his side all day because she needs to remain strong for her children – one-year-old Junior and Harvey, four.

Speaking exclusively to OK! magazine, the 28-year-old beauty said of her husband: “He’s really poorly. I feel really bad because if I was in hospital I would want someone with me all the time. But I physically can’t do it because of the kids and work.”

Jordan also revealed her horror at seeing Peter’s health deteriorate overnight as they flew home from a trip to the States.

She said: “The whole plane journey he was sick. We kept calling the
doctor when we got home because we were so worried, then we took him to hospital.

“He’s usually sleeping, or drifting in and out. Yesterday I went in and he didn’t even know I was there.

“I’m checking on him all day, calling the hospital and then every night I take him a towel in so he can smell home. I am so stressed.” dailystar

PETER ANDRE has been declared well enough to leave hospital.

The 34-year-old singer has been battling brain bug meningitis in East Surrey Hospital for just over a week.

Pregnant wife JORDAN, 28, had kept a constant vigil at the hospital.

But he left his bed early this morning and is now back recovering at the home he shares with Jordan and sons HARVEY and JUNIOR.

He has released a statement saying he was discharged this morning and now needs 'time to be left alone with his family to recover'.

Proving the rumours were true and he hasn't died, Peter Andre left hospital today following a twelve day stay for suspected viral meningitis.

A spokesman for the reality television celebrity said in a statement: "Peter Andre has been discharged from East Surrey Hospital this morning. He now needs to be left alone with his family to recover and we ask that all the press respect Peter and Katie's privacy at this time"

The 34-year-old Australian singer and husband of glamour girl Jordan was admitted to hospital on April 22 after falling ill at his home. He was later diagnosed with viral meningitis, a potentially fatal brain bug.

GLAMOUR girl Kate Price was over the moon last night after brain bug stricken hubby Peter Andre came home from hospital.

Singer Pete, 34, was discharged from East Surrey Hospital yesterday morning to return to their mansion.

Peter had been in hospital since April 22 battling viral meningitis.

He complained of feeling unwell with what he thought was a stomach bug during a promotional trip to Los Angeles with sexy Kate, 28, for their TV show.

Hunky Pete spent a week in bed after returning to their £2.5million home in Ockley, Surrey. He was unable to eat and was so frail he couldn’t stand up.

When his condition worsened frantic Kate dialled 999 and he was taken to the NHS hospital in Redhill, Surrey – but he was discharged the next day, only to return the following night after taking a turn for the worse.

Doctors ran a barrage of tests and discovered he was suffering from viral meningitis, which is dangerous but not as severe as the bacterial variety.

Symptoms include head-aches, extreme tiredness and depression.

Peter’s parents flew in from Cyprus to be at their son’s bedside and support terrified Kate.

A spokesman for Peter said yesterday: “He has been allowed to come home to recover and carry on with his medication.

“He needs to be left alone with his family but hopefully he’s over the worst.”

Pals feared for heavily-pregnant Kate – alias Jordan – and the strain that the crisis could take on her health.

Medics told her she could not kiss or touch Pete because she and her unborn baby were at risk of infection. But gutsy Kate kept a bedside vigil.

A cruel hoaxer even spread the false tale that Peter had died and within hours the couple’s official website was swamped by concerned fans.

A source close to the couple said: “It’s such a relief for Kate now Pete’s back home. She was frantic with worry.”

JORDAN has scrapped all her TV and publicity dates to stay at the bedside of husband Peter Andre as he recovers from potentially fatal viral meningitis.

The glamour model, 28, was due on the Jonathan Ross show last night and to be star guest at the country's largest gathering of truckers this weekend.

Jordan is believed to be very worried about singer Peter, 34, who is home from hospital after three weeks. He was struck with the brain fluid infection on tour in America.


A spokesman for Truckfest said they "totally understood" why Jordan had decided not to go. Mirror

"I don't want to be watched," she lied.

Well here's an idea: re-spray the bloody horse box!

Then pregnant Katie posed for pictures to promote her lingerie line "for the bigger-breasted woman" and vowed: "This is the last underwear shoot I'll be doing for a long time."

PETER Andre has confessed he thought he was going to die after contracting meningitis.

Speaking for the first time since he fell sick, Andre, 34, admitted the illness "petrified" him.

He added: "When I'd been in hospital for about four days and no one knew what was wrong with me and I was getting worse and worse, I did think I was going to die."


Pop star Andre was diagnosed with viral meningitis last month when he went to hospital with a recurrence of a stomach complaint.

He told OK! magazine: "I'm still so weak and horrible. Everything is so exhausting - walking, having a shower and getting dressed."

Wife Jordan, 28, who is expecting their third child next month, said it had been a struggle coping with Andre's illness.

She said: "I'm really annoyed because a doctor said he wouldn't be seeing us again yet Pete was in for another seven days."
