JUNGLE FINAL VOTE 'FIXED'

TELLY bosses were reeling last night over a jungle fix storm.

I’m A Celebrity fans claimed they could not vote for loudmouth Janice Dickinson.

One told the Daily Star: “I tried to call all night and couldn’t get through. It stinks.”

The highlight of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here this year was the blossoming romance between Mark Bannerman and Cerys Matthews, possibly the two people in the whole world you've thought about least over the last five years.

You see, even though Mark Bannerman had a girlfriend and Cerys Matthews had hands that looked like geriatric scrotum-skin stretched across several wire coathangers, the pair of them fell in love during their time on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. And not just any kind of love, either - Mark Bannerman and Cerys Matthews found the kind of deep everlasting love that only washed-up popstars and people from failed wrestling-based reality TV shows can encounter after spending 15 minutes in a cleared-out piece of forest together. And, by christ, we wish they'd both shut up about it.

Cerys returns home from the jungle insisting 'I can't wait to see Marc'

Singer Cerys Matthews said today that she "can't wait" to see fellow I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here star Marc Bannerman.

Viewers of the show who'd watched the growing love affair between the two have started to doubt the true depth of their feelings after Bannerman failed to fly out to Australia to meet Matthews when she left the jungle.

Following their seeming reluctance to be seen together since, the onscreen romance between Miss Matthews and Bannerman was being denounced in some quarters as nothing more than a publicity-seeking ploy.

RANDY star Janice Dickinson last night revealed only one fella had her panting with passion in the jungle – I’m A Celebrity host Declan Donnelly.

In her first interview since the show ended, the runner-up roared: “Dec is so hot.

“I want to put him in a thong and play wild games with him. Grrowl!”

GEM'S HIDING A HOT SECRET


I’M A Celebrity babe Gemma Atkinson jetted out of Australia last night – and teased that she was keeping a big jungle secret.

The saucy actress refused to elaborate on what it was. But she hinted that all would be revealed soon.
Asked what her fave jungle memory had been, the former Hollyoaks star giggled: “You’ll have to wait until I get back to the UK, and then I might say. It’s a secret.”

Cheeky Gemma has now set tongues wagging about what she’s been hiding from fans. However, the 23-year-old beauty insists she is not about to announce her engagement to Wigan striker Marcus Bent.
She said: “I’ve missed Marcus loads and am looking forward to seeing him. But we’re not getting engaged.”

Gemma confessed she had munched her way through most of the huge white chocolate bars the Daily Star gave her when she came out of the jungle.

She said: “I’m afraid most of the bars are gone. I was hungry! But I had a brilliant time.”  
And, apart from Marcus and her mum, the one thing Gemma is looking forward to when she gets back home is a huge birthday party.

Gemma turned 23 while she was in the Aussie outback and Marcus, 29, has vowed to throw her “the party of all parties” on her return.

Also flying home last night were singers “J”, 31, and Cerys Matthews, 38, and football pundit Rodney Marsh, 63. Janice Dickinson arrived back in LA with a pair of giant stuffed koalas.

Bannerman admits he acted like 'a rat'

Marc Bannerman has admitted that he acted like "a rat" by flirting with singer Cerys Matthews in the jungle.

The former 'EastEnders' star said: "I just developed feelings for someone in there and I've got a missus at home, I'm a rat. I can't look for a scapegoat - the buck stops here."

When he left the jungle and returned to his hotel room to find his clothes neatly hung up by his girlfriend Sarah Matravers, he asked: "Is this where she's been staying? There's her dressing gown, and she's done my stuff. I can't even look at myself."

Marc Bannerman’s ex flees the country



Sarah Matravers has made a dramatic dash to the US after her acrimonious break-up with I'm A Celeb… star Marc Bannerman. Sarah, who has been VERY vocal about her heartbreak over Marc's betrayal with Cerys Matthews said, "These last few weeks have been dirty, messy and sordid, but at least it's a clean break". The actress is heading to the United States with a friend for a casting, but plans to stay there until the interest in Marc and Cerys dies down. “I’m taking my best friend. We'll have a holiday, then I'll be back to face 2008," she said before heading to the airport.

The future of TV chef John Burton Race's Michelin-starred restaurant was still uncertain following his return from the Australian jungle.

The New Angel in the south Devon port of Dartmouth was closed down by the 50-year-old's estranged wife Kim, 42, while he was taking part in the TV reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Fancy having Biggins for tea?

FRESH from his triumph in the jungle, I’m A Celebrity winner Christopher Biggins may be set for a TV hosting role.

The popular panto star is believed to be lining up a tea-time chat show in the Paul O’Grady mould.

ITV are looking for something to go head-to-head with Paul O’Grady’s ratings success over on Channel 4 and believe that Biggins could fit the bill.

“He is an absolute natural for the cosy world of daytime TV,” said an insider.

“He proved what a great listener he was inside the camp.”

Irony is clearly lost on I'm A Celebrity simperer Cerys Matthews.

The former Catatonia star disturbed the peace of Welsh locals in The Sloop pub in Fishguard, Pembs, when she and new boyfriend Marc Bannerman turned up to cash in on her latest brush with fame with a picture shoot for a celebrity magazine.

It didn't seem to bother the jungle warbler that it was the exact same pub she got married to Seth Riddle - father of her two children - in four years ago.

A regular who witnessed the couple slobbering all over each other fumes: "It was heartless and crass. Is nothing sacred anymore?"
