Simon's a celeb: Get him in there TELLY jokers Ant and Dec have cheekily asked TV bosses to put Simon Cowell in the I’m A Celebrity jungle – because they reckon his career’s on the skids. The star hosts’ new £40million deal means they are paid twice what TV’s Mr Nasty earns. And they teasingly suggested he needs to give his fortunes a lift by getting himself into the Aussie outback with the bugs and spiders. Jungle presenter Ant McPartlin laughed: “I’ll be having a word with the producers about getting Simon out to Australia this year for the show. “He clearly needs to give his career a boost. “Now we’re getting paid more than him, Simon needs to up his profile. “He’d be great in the jungle. But I reckon the snakes would be more scared of him than he would be of them.” Cowell, 47, was left fuming earlier this year when word leaked that the I’m A Celebrity duo had bagged their £40m deal with ITV. That is double the amount the acid-tongued judge gets paid for producing hit shows like X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent. And Ant and Dec, both 31, have been teasing him about their new contract to make programmes such as PokerFace and Saturday Night Takeaway. Dec Donnelly revealed: “When we were filming Britain’s Got Talent and the news came out about our deal Simon was steaming. He hissed: ‘You’ve curdled my milk.’ He was so unhappy. “The poor guy can’t bear the thought of anyone being paid more than him. “We love winding him up.” I’m A Celebrity is due back on our screens at the end of the year. Barrymore set for I'm a Celebrity! Michael Barrymore is being lined up for I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, despite being investigated over a death in his pool. The fallen star was such a hit in Celebrity Big Brother in 2006 that ITV bosses have offered a fortune to get him in the TV jungle. But they risk a backlash from the dead man’s family. Barrymore, 55, is still on bail after being arrested in June by police probing the death of Stuart Lubbock, 31. His body was found in the pool at the comedian’s former Essex mansion in 2001. Last night Stuart’s dad Terry Lubbock, 62, said at his home in Harlow, Essex: "I find it incredible that anyone could even consider offering work to Barrymore at the moment. But nothing surprises me any more with him. "In a way, I wouldn’t be totally unhappy, because all the while he remains high-profile it helps my campaign to get justice for Stuart’s death. "I’ve always maintained that Barrymore can help me find out what happened to Stuart when he died, even though I don’t believe he was directly involved." ITV sources claim producers will not push ahead with signing Barrymore for the show later this year if he is charged with any offence by Essex Police. He is due to hear on September 10 whether he faces action. Barrymore is trying to resurrect his career and landing a spot in the hugely popular I’m A Celebrity would be a major coup for the entertainer. An ITV insider said: "We have been talking to Barrymore because we think viewers would be attracted to hearing what he has to say in the jungle about his personal problems and all the trauma he’s had in his life. "He opened up a great deal when he was in Celebrity Big Brother which is one of the reasons why he was so popular with viewers and almost won that programme. "But it will all be scrapped if Barrymore is charged. There is no way ITV would go ahead with signing him on a contract if that happened. It simply would not be possible." Paris Hilton in Celebrity Big Brother Paris Hilton is being lined up to appear in the next series of 'Celebrity Big Brother'. The hotel heiress - who starred in her own reality show 'The Simple Life' - is rumoured to be in talks with TV bosses to enter Britain's 'Big Brother' house early next year. A Channel 4 insider said: Paris is really keen to do the show because she wants to show people the real her. Myleene Klass gives tips to jungle entrants Former I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here contestant Myleene Klass has offered some tips for the next celebs to enter the jungle. The new mum said that enthusiasm and a willingness to enter new situations were both important qualities for getting through the competition successfully. "I think you should just embrace it. Cuddle the spiders - embrace them all!" she exclaimed. "If you don't enjoy the work you do, you aren't going to be very good at it - and it's the same if you go to the rainforest and you don't want to be there." Celebs to be fed crocodile ***** If you thought previous "bushtacker trials" in I'm A Celebrity were hard to swallow, then this series promises a mouthful like no other. Contestants this time around - including model Gemma Atkinson and The Apprentice villainess Katie Hopkins - will be told to tuck into crododile genitals. Twelve crocodile penises were transferred to the Outback base yesterday as the new series looms. Last year only eventual winner Matt Willis, ex of Busted, had to eat one - but this series, all 12 contestants are expected to indulge. Lilian Lever, owner of the Koorana Crocodile Farm in Coowonga, Queensland, would only say: 'We do supply 'We do supply "bits" of the crocs for the TV show. I can't say any more.' Other contenders expected to take part include Chris Tarrant's ex-wife Ingrid.
