Jungle vixen Cerys Matthews has dumped her reality TV boyfriend Marc Bannerman.
The Welsh singer phoned love-rat Marc to tell him it was all over two days before Valentine's Day.
Cerys, who fell for Marc on I'm A Celebrity four months ago, said she had come to the end of her tether after a string of rows and needed to be single to focus on her music career.
A pal of the former Catatonia singer said: "The passion fizzled out and they've hardly seen each other in the last month. All the talk of having babies and settling down turned to dust.
"She realised the relationship was going nowhere and wants to concentrate on her tour, so she told Marc they were finished this week." The romance hit trouble over Christmas when Cerys's exhusband Seth Riddle came to stay in Wales to spend time with their children.
Cerys and Marc called off plans to find a home together and he fled back to London. Their last appearance together was on Al Murray's Happy Hour on January 11.
And there is further heartache for Marc.
His ex-girlfriend Sarah Matravers, 33 - who publicly dumped him for flirting with Cerys on the ITV show - has found new love. The actress has told pals she's fallen for millionaire TV producer Ian Stewart, 46, from New Zealand. A source said: "If Marc thinks he can go crawling back to Sarah, he's much too late. She's loved up and planning a new future with Ian."
Marc, 34, who played Gianni in EastEnders, said he fell in love with Cerys at first sight in the jungle.
But the spark has gone and Cerys, 38, ended it by phone 48 hours before starting a UK tour in Swansea on Valentine's Day.
Marc has since been staying with his close friend, novelist Martina Cole, in Kent. Cerys was living back in her parents' house near St David's, West Wales, with kids Glenys Pearl, four, and two-year-old Johnny Jones. The source continued: "They had talked about buying a house together but that plan was abandoned early in the year. Cerys has been in Wales and Marc has rarely visited.
"Once she got back to normal life she started to feel embarrassed by the way she had fallen for Marc on camera.
"She thought the jungle would be fun - but she feels sheepish about it now.
"It all started to break down when Seth came to stay over Christmas."
The family friend added: "There's no chance of Seth and Cerys getting back together. But he is talking of moving to Wales full time to be near the kids.
"But him being around put added strain on the relationship with Marc."
The pair cashed in on their love affair with a series of glossy magazine interviews - earning an estimated £750,000.
But Marc's mum Dolores Noronha confirmed last night: "It's finished with Cerys. He's very upset, very down."
