Kerry Katona went to rehab after finding girl's text to husband EXCLUSIVE REAL REASON BEHIND KERRY'S REHAB AGONY Kerry Katona checked into The Priory after finding a text from a mystery girl telling her husband: "I love you". The mum - already reeling after husband Mark Croft's alleged affair with a barmaid - found the message after confiscating his mobile phone. The text is the real reason behind Kerry's latest bout of depression. A source close to the pregnant mum-of-three, 27, said: "She hit the roof. She was lashing out at Mark and screaming "Who the f*** is this texting you they love you?" Mark, 37, insisted it was just a mate "messing about" but deleted the message so the ex-Atomic Kitten could not call them. The source went on: "When she read the text her world fell apart. She's hurt by accusations Mark is only with her for her money and convinced that if this girl is better looking he'll run off." A friend of Kerry's said she felt vindicated in taking his phone but "it seemed to confirm all her fears"." Kerry, of Wilmslow, Cheshire, was first hit by reports of Mark sleeping with barmaid Samantha Riaz, 29, who kept a tape on which he says of his wife: "It's all about the money. Forget her." Kerry - due to give birth in May - this week entered the Priory rehab clinic for the fourth time. Her pal said: "She's scared of losing Mark." Sad mum-to-be Kerry Katona rushed to hospital with suspected pre-eclampsia EXCLUSIVE: Medics fear pregnant celeb has killer illness By Tom Bryant Troubled mum-to-be Kerry Katona was rushed to hospital yesterday amid fears she has a fatal illness. Doctors think Kerry, 27, may have developed pre-eclampsia - which kills 10 mothers and 1,000 babies in Britain each year. Its cause is unknown but it leads to soaring blood pressure, agonising swollen limbs and kidney and liver failure. The drama comes days after Kerry, whose child is due in May, ended her fourth rehab stint. PR man Max Clifford said: "We're praying for her but only time will tell. In the past few weeks she's been in increasing pain with her legs and feet swollen. We just hope it's not pre-eclampsia." The mum of three endured the mounting agony but was rushed from her home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, when it became unbearable. Last night husband Mark Croft, 37, was by her hospital bedside in nearby Warrington. Worryingly, another symptom of the condition is premature birth and it causes around one in six of those in the UK. Max added: "Mark's very concerned like the rest of us. But she is a fighter and we've all got our fingers crossed." The scare rounds off a turbulent few days for Kerry, star of TV's Iceland ads. She has been rocked by claims of Mark's cheating and a text from an alleged lover is said to have triggered her re-entry into rehab last week.
