Gest in hospital

I'm A Celebrity star David Gest suffered a suspected heart attack yesterday.

Paramedics treated the 54-year-old for chest pains and breathing problems in the early hours of the morning. An ambulance took him to a private London hospital from his home in Hampstead.

Doctors want to keep him under observation until the New Year.

The American's spokeswoman said: "David is stable and receiving the best medical attention."

His health scare comes shortly after ex-wife Liza Minnelli collapsed after a concert in Sweden.

Cleo has a Gest for Xmas


I'm A Celebrity star David Gest is recovering from his heart attack... by spending Christmas with Celebrity Big Brother's Cleo Rocos.

An ambulance took him to hospital from his home in West London after he complained of chest pains and breathing problems earlier this week.

Doctors wanted to keep him under observation, but Gest, 54, had other ideas and will tuck into Cleo's turkey at her plush riverside apartment.

Cleo, 45, said: "I felt so sorry for him when I heard he'd had a heart attack, so I invited him to have Christmas lunch with me. He's a pal."

Gest's scare comes after his ex-wife Liza Minnelli collapsed following a concert in Sweden.

NO TOUR FOR GEST

HEART-attack victim David Gest has had to cancel his first solo tour.

Doctors have told Liza Minelli’s 54-year-old ex-husband he must take things easy for the next few months.

A spokeswoman said: “His show, David Gest is Nuts... My Life as a Musical, is being held over until the autumn.”
