Post subject:  How can we pick a winner this year?

This has to be the worst coverage of a reality TV show ever!
The Celebes must have been in the camps for at least two days before we tuned in on Sunday night, but we are seeing edtied footage form the get-go.
the same with the 9pm show, we have Ant and Dec telling us what has been going on in the camps with edited footage of the BT's and then we never even get to see the two camps merging.
As for the ITV2 show....ZZZZ
Last night the ITV2 show took the biscuit, i all it had was a studio audience who looked like they were from the worst casting agency we have in the UK with the Aussie link up going over the same old crap with Matt and his wife NOT BEING FUNNY...
So I would like to know how any reality V viewer can honestly pick a winner this year because we are not seeing a true representation of life in the camp.

I found this intelligent piece to be rather helpful, when wondering as to who might be a worthy winner: ::lol::

But as regards the other animals on the show - well, you know, I'm fearful, these days, of praising anyone. How do I know they won't end up making obscene phone-calls, or insulting entire nations, in the future...but I'll stick my neck out, for the moment at least, and say...

I HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY THE BEHAVIOUR OF THESE 'CELEBRITIES'.

Touching moment, when Nicola and Carly (and no, I was not aware of the existence of these celebrities, a week ago) were comforting Esther. And nice to hear Nicola say 'we were very insensitive, going on about our partners', and then to hear Esther say 'no, it was nice to hear'.

Mr Sulu - George Takei - is quite a joy at the moment. He seems to appreciate lots of things, and was so enthusiastic about learning Joe's little rude song.

Martina Navratilova is....Martina...and I'd be honoured to share her hammock, any day! LOL.

Kilroy is a bit short of the mark, but that's all I say....

Everyone else is doing fine, but I was quite impressed, to hear Joe try to deflect Dani's criticisms of Nicola.

Loved it when Joe said to camera 'You should judge a book by it's cover' (sic) - you shouldn't pre-judge anyone'.

Which leads me on to my final 'rant' - this Joe Swash. Never heard of him. Never saw him on T.V. before....but so far, from what I've seen, he is a little treasure. Funny, kind, caring, entertaining...

At the moment, I'd love to see him win.

As always, I'm fond of Ant and Dec, and their funny comments. It's after the watershed, so I could say they were the 'dog's bollox', but of course, I'm much too refined to do so...

I love it when people get along, and have a laugh....

But with Timmy Mallett (is that how he spells his name?) going in, I fear it'll all get a bit more 'typical' of previous shows.

Oh - that reminds me - must try and set the VCR for tonight's show, and have a goo at it when I get home. ()^

I miss the live feed but then we will just have to take the show on face value.
There's no clear winner for me yet but time will tell.

I never watched the live feed...and often missed half the nightly shows, so this year, I'm chuffed that I've managed to see them all, so far (well, half of last night's yet to see, on video...).

David van Day is a bit of a turn-off.

Wow - Robert (see, I won't call him 'Kilroy' for now, at least) deserves credit for his achievement in last night's live trial.

What is with Timmy Mallett? There's something just not right there. He may have (bizarrely, and rather cruelly) found Robert's trial hilarious, but that laughter of his was very, very strange. Unhinged!

I'm still impressed with most of the contestants. (I'd rather call them that, than 'celebrities'). Lots of decent people.

As of time of writing, I remain charmed by Joe Swash - now, even more so. I love his ability to have fun, without it being at others' expense. I love the way he's supportive, and his friendship with George is heartwarming, indeed. And I especially love the way Joe has said that he dislike cliques.

Joe is, at the moment, possibly the most charming person I've seen, on any reality show.

At the moment. You never know what the future holds, I suppose....

(Tonight, on RTE's Late Show, we are going to be treated to a performance by The Satanic *****, I believe. Something which would never have happened, had it not been for the Ross/Brand Phone Major Incident of 2008. :-( )

But I can't help believing in Joe.... @^@

Last nights 9pm show once again spent too much time on old footage. I want the hour spent on the people in the camp not Ant and Dec, as much as I like them it is not the Ant and Dec show.
I wish they would broadcast live feed for a couple of hours a day/night so we can form our own opinion of the campers.

But if people watch the Live Feed, and form their own opinions - 'at the end of the day', the public watching the 'highlights' shows choose the winner. 'Hardcore fans' of reality shows don't have enough voting power to determine the final results.

Also, I wouldn't be prepared to invest more time in watching live feed....I never bothered before..

Nicola tells some of the stories the campers told each other Here

I still think Joe should be the winner...for lots of reasons.

Delighted to see Martina still there, though.

And George is a decent soul, too.
