A Brocket baby for Charlie At an age when most men are contemplating taking life more easily, the colourful Lord Brocket is to become a father again. It will be a fourth child for Charlie Brocket - a youthful 57 - but a first for his gorgeous second wife Harriet, 34, a travel photographer.
'We're thrilled,' says Brocket, who tells me it was always their intention to start a family. 'There'll definitely be another one with luck, so there is a playmate.'
The couple, who married in 2006, have spent much of the past couple of years travelling. 'Once you have babies you can't get away so much, we concentrated on that first,' he says.
The baby is due in September. The peer, meanwhile, has one more solo expedition up his sleeve - a 10,000-mile road trip around the Mediterranean with five friends to raise money for cancer charity CLIC Sargent.
While his chums - including travel firm boss and ex-Scots Guards officer Nick Laing, aerobatics guru Vic Norman and Cumbria landowner Miles Sandys - will be in BMWs, Brocket plans to complete the six-week trip on a £17,000 Harley-Davidson.
Brocket, whose three older children are 24, 21 and 17, famously left prison after his two-and-a-half-year sentence for fraud on a Harley and will be away when Harriet discovers the sex of her unborn child.
