Glamour model Katie Price and her singer husband Peter Andre have separated after four-and-a-half years of marriage, their publicist said today.

No explanation was given for the split between the couple who met while filming the jungle reality TV show "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!"

"They have both requested that the media respect their families' privacy at this difficult time," the publicist added.

Katie and Peter Series To Continue

ITV has no plans to drop Katie Price and Peter Andre's fly on the wall series Katie & Peter: Stateside, despite the couple announcing their separation.

A spokesman said that there were currently only "a few" episodes left in the current series, and there was "no indication" that the reality series would be pulled.

Katie & Peter: Stateside, is the eighth series the couple completed for ITV2 and is currently attracting more than 1 million viewers, making it one of the most successful programmes on the digital channel.

The former glamour model and the Australian singer have been married for four and a half years.

A spokeswoman for Price and Andre declined to comment on the show and said the couple "have both requested that the media respect their families' privacy at this difficult time".
