Stacey has triumphed against Shaun on I'm A Celebrity - and become the nation's new sweetheart in the process. Stacey is now set to leave the jungle, but in her time on I’m A Celebrity she has become the nation’s sweetheart. She made the final two alongside Shaun, her positive outlook on life winner winning over campmates and viewers alike, meaning that she was this year’s Queen of the Jungle. STV.tv |

Stacey Solomon crowned 'queen of jungle'  Stacey Solomon has been crowned "queen of the jungle" in ITV1 reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The former X Factor contestant won the public vote in the final, beating Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder. Solomon had been the biggest favourite ever on the show, quoted at 1/16 by some bookmakers before the final. BBC |

Stacey Solomon wants to be new queen of pop after jungle victory by Danielle Gusmaroli Oh my Gawd... Stacey Solomon’s hoping to become the new queen of pop after being crowned in the jungle. Lovable Essex girl Stacey hopes her I’m a Celebrity triumph will boost her hopes of pop stardom. The mum-of-one – who ate kangaroo ***** and crocodile bum in trials – beamed: “I could do Essex pop! Brilliant. A new genre! The 21-year-old – third in last year’s X Factor – was reunited with son Zach and boyfriend Aaron Barham on Saturday after being crowned Queen of the Jungle. She giggled: “Now I’m just trying to get back to normal. I had a bath, shower, bath, shower. I got in the bath and I thought, ‘Ooh, this is nice.’ But then I saw bits of the jungle floating around the bath. There were worms in there and everything. I screamed, ‘Get me out of the bath!’ “I jumped into the shower and had another bath, and showered again. It was horrible.” But last night she insisted she’d loved her time in the camp with runner-up Shaun Ryder, Dom Joly and nutty Gillian McKeith. “I would never have an opportunity like that again, so I wanted to enjoy every minute,” she said. “After doing The X Factor, you realise how quickly the experience finishes. You look back and think, ‘I wish I hadn’t been so stressed out and nervous.’” The budding singer from Dagenham was encouraged to enter after a text from X Factor judge Dannii Minogue, 39. Stacey said: “I just got a message from Dannii and it was so lovely. She sent a hug and a kiss and said to me, ‘Good luck’. That’s when I decided to go for it.” And she reckons next year show bosses should parachute tuneless Wagner into the Australian outback, adding: “You know what? I love Wagner. He makes me laugh. He must do the jungle. He’d be great.” Runner-up Shaun, 48, also revealed he’d loved his time on the ITV1 show – to his own amazement. He admitted: “I didn’t even think I’d stay the week.” Quizzed about his F-word rants at Gillian, he said: “Gillian’s me, me, me, and people like that bug me.” But they seemed to have patched things up later, sharing a hug. Daddy's girl Stacey Solomon returns to British shores after being crowned Queen of the Jungle... looking rather orange Having spent three weeks sleeping rough, eating bugs and putting up with her camp mates' antics, it's hardly surprising that Stacey Solomon was so happy to be back home. And she proved that she is every inch a Daddy's girl as she ran into her father David's arms upon landing in London this morning. But the 21-year-old I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! winner, who was crowed Queen of the Jungle on Saturday night, was so disappointed by the rainy weather in Australia, that she appeared to have resorted to fake tan to get a healthy glow.
