FORMER schoolmates of I'm A Celebrity "star" Peter Andre are watching his progress with awe.

Andre was brought up in the Australian town of Southport on Queensland's Gold Coast - less than 50 miles from the show's set - and attended local school Keebra Park.

Keebra is described as "quite rough" and one classmate says: "I'd say he would have hated his school life because he was a skinny little s**t.

"We used to play basketball before and after school as well as at lunchtime and he would try to join in but he was hopeless.

"He was the wimp who always got picked on."

Perhaps this explains Andre's behaviour towards Jordan, the top-heavy contestant who was voted out at the weekend.

His immature infatuation with Jordan looks like a classic illustration of neediness caused by being bullied as a child.

I doubt Peter's time at school has anything to do with his 'neediness'
IMO: His neediness to hook up with Jordan is more down to his need to raise his profile. :-?
