The
Ultimate Fighter reality show must be the most real piece of reality television in the world. Season 2 is currently showing on Bravo each weekday at 11:00pm. Oh, yes, this makes Sly Stallone’s The Contender show look like a major hugging match.
UFC President Dana White, a surprisingly sympathetic looking guy, is outdoing other sports shows with this in-depth look at the modern day warrior. The show sees two teams of fighters coached by legendary mohican-headed Chuck Liddell and tough guy Randy Couture, and they fight against each other in the middleweight and light heavyweight categories in order to become the champ.
However, now that the show is coming towards it’s end, former teammates have begun fighting each other in order to claim the UFC fighting contract, which is handed out to champions in both divisions.
We have already been showcased with some great talents like Josh Koscheck - the master of take downs, Diego Sanchez - master of submissions, and the mean, buffed-up lanky fella by the name of Forrest Griffin, master of whopping ass. If he doesn’t frighten you, than you must have a clear disregard for human safety, topped off with a suicidal disposition.
The show is yet to finish here in the UK, and we advise you to watch it if you can bear the real images of blood and gore. This show is reality entertainment taken to new levels, complete with unforgettable characters, some of whom need a lesson or two, and enough violence to keep you stuck into the sofa indefinitely.
Long live UFC, Dana White, big hearted coach Chuck Lidell and of course the future programme champions.
