GLAMOUR girl Jodie Marsh has become a brunette - because she wants to be taken seriously as a writer and charity worker.
The Essex girl, who has dyed her famous blonde locks, told New Woman magazine: "One of the reasons I went back to my roots was to be taken a bit more seriously.
"As a blonde, I don’t think I get enough credit for what I do – I’m writing my first novel and do loads of charity work – and I hope going brunette will help give me the respect I crave."
Jodie, who dyed her hair blonde and wore blue contact lenses after she was bullied at school, claims she now has the confidence to go dark again.
She revealed: "Since writing my autobiography earlier this year, I have exorcised all the demons from my past.
"I now have the confidence to ditch the coloured contact lenses and try returning to my natural brown hair colour."
