Music mogul SIMON COWELL is launching a new reality show for talented wannabe inventors.
The lucky winner of
AMERICAN INVENTOR, picked from three finalists, will win a $1 million prize (GBP550,000) and their invention will be produced and sold.
Cowell says, "Everyone in this country, at some stage in their life, has said, 'You know what? I've got an idea that could change the world.'
"As with singing, most of the ideas will be terrible and some of them will be fantastic.
"I thought people coming in with their inventions could be just as much fun as singing."
Cowell will begin his search for inventors later this month (NOV05).
