NIGEL HITS AT REALITY TV SHAM
By Nicola Methven Tv Editor
FORMER EastEnders star Nigel Harman says reality shows are the death knell of TV.
And he claims they are psychologically harmful to contestants.
The heart-throb actor - Dennis Rickman in the soap - blames cost-cutting bosses.
Nigel, 33, tells Heat magazine: "No one's making drama - it's cheaper and easier to make reality TV.
"These people come out and become vague faces for three weeks - then they're gone."
Nigel, set to star in ITV's Bond-style drama The Outsiders, says he feels sorry for Big Brother wannabes.
He adds: "Reality TV was fascinating when it started but now contestants are like gerbils in a cage."
