Max Clifford Finding Fame
PR guru Max Clifford has told wannabe celebrities they can find a quick route to fame by failing on a reality TV show.
Clifford has compiled a guide to fame for digital channel Fame TV and admits fame by association can lead to exposure.
Appearing on Big Brother or The X Factor are top of his list of ways to become famous, but failing that he says would-be celebrities should make use of famous relatives or date a celebrity to attract the press pack.
Clifford said: "There's no set route or set of rules to achieving fame. Nowadays it's possible for people to become famous literally overnight.
"Talent doesn't even really come into being famous any more, it helps obviously, but most of it is just about being seen with the right people and then really knowing how to capitalise on it.
"There are absolutely no limits to what people are prepared to do nowadays if they think it will achieve their dreams of fame."
He put together a top ten of routes to fame and it includes appearing in a home sex video, like Paris Hilton or Abi Titmuss, and being a flop in a talent contest like the Cheeky Girls or Darius Danesh.
