Poms In Paradise
A new ITV1 documentary series, starting on Wednesday, May 11, follows the lives of some of the Britons who have chosen to up sticks and settle in Australia's Gold Coast.
Poms In Paradise will reveal the stories of a handful of the Brits living there and show if their new home really is a paradise.
31-year-old Welshman Stuart Snell is a champion in Surf Life Saving - a fusion of Iron Man challenges and lifeguarding skills. He has dominated the local competition for the past two years, and the show follows him as he prepares for this year's first event - a 500-metre swim through the surf.
The programme also meets Marcus and Lorraine and their daughter Sky, who arrived Down Under a year ago. Although they do the same jobs as in the UK, they reveal that they are significantly better off in Australia. However, despite the perks of their new lives, Lorraine is struggling with being so far away from her family.
Finally, cameras follow Frank, who moved to Australia from Ireland after a bad break-up, and now works in the tropical rainforest near the Gold Coast.
