I was glad that the red kitchen won but would have preferred it to be Sam.

GORDON Ramsay yesterday branded the latest series of ITV's Hell's Kitchen "s***".

The hot-tempered chef added celebrity chefs Jean Christophe Novelli and Gary Rhodes "bombed" and says the contestants would not have survived in his kitchen.

He said: "The latest series was s***. Mine was much better. As for the celebrity chefs, put it this way, look at the ratings.

"The chefs were really c***, all of them. I do not rate any of them or their cooking and I certainly would not employ any of them, ever."

About eight million people tuned in to see Jennifer Ellison win Ramsay's celebrity version of the show, compared to five million who watched Terry Miller win on Monday.

The Michelin-starred Ramsay, famous for his four-letter rants, was speaking at a book signing.

Yesterday, show winner Terry, 46, revealed he will use his £250,000 prize money to open a restaurant in Newcastle. He said: "Gary said he will back me 100 per cent."

Terry may also offer runner-up Kellie Cresswell, from Kent, a job.

Loser Novelli moaned about doing a second series: "There would have to be some changes to the format, or I won't do it."

Think about this ,,, over rhe eleven hundred millions days it seemed to be on air, did you as a viewer pick up what the hell they were cooking, how they were cooking it or indeed learn anything about cooking at all.  considering it was based in a kitchen it was incredible how much cooking we didnt see :-?

I would also vote it the less real reality TV show ever aired on TV when even the bits angus did where pre recorded as shown up by the magic ability of the producers to beep out INSTANSTANIOUSLY swearing when it occured,,,Ramsey was tight it was ****

Gordon Ramsay's swipe at celebrity chefs

Gordon Ramsay has taken a swipe at celebrity chefs who criticise him - because they have never had the guts to run their own restaurant.

The foul-mouthed 'Hell's Kitchen' star says he is sick of being attacked by his peers - he has famously been involved with a long-running spat with Anthony Worrell Thompson - because they know nothing about running a 'real' eatery.

He told Britain's Heat magazine: "The majority of TV chefs have never run their own restaurant.
So when they jump on my case about being rude to my staff, I say, 'F**k off, the lot of you.'" [url=http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/entertainment/50742004.htm]femalefirst

HELL'S Kitchen star Kellie Cresswell once had a gun held to her head in Bosnia - and that's why she can take anything a TV chef can throw at her, her proud mum revealed yesterday.

The former army driver - second favourite to scoop the £250,000 prize - stared death in the face while serving as a Nato peacekeeper.

Chrissie Cresswell, 53, said her 28-year-old daughter's tour of duty was a life-changing experience which has left her well-equipped to cope with the pressure cooker atmosphere on the ITV1 reality show.

Chrissie said: "One of the Serbian soldiers held a rifle to her head. She wet herself, literally, because she saw her life going before her eyes. But he allowed her to go - and she doesn't forget that.""

Kellie spent nine months in Bosnia with the Royal Logistics Corps from 1995 to 1996 in the aftermath of the bloody break-up of the former Yugoslavia.

But it wasn't the only trauma the rookie TV chef - now a pub cook in Stroud, Kent - faced while in the army. She experienced the horror of losing new friends.

Mum-of-seven Chrissie explained: "Kellie had to pick a young man up from a military airport and drive him 12 hours to his destination.

"His tank was blown up by landmines not long after he arrived. That really affected Kellie. At 17, she'd already gone through an enormous amount of emotion."

Kellie - mum to daughters Billie, eight, and Dannie, 18 months - left the army in 1998 after three years. Now she faces the tough demands of top chef Jean-Christophe Novelli. Fiery tempered Novelli has already reduced two of his team to tears - Aby King and Henry Filloux-Bennett - who were evicted. But Kellie's mum is glad she was chosen for the Frenchman's team, instead of Englishman Gary Rhodes.

Chrissie said: "She would have just looked at Gary as a sergeant major and said: 'Three bags full chef'."

Bookmakers Ladbrokes has Kellie - who is dsylexic - as second favourite to win the show after Sam - which isn't a surprise to her mum.

Chrissie said: "Kellie's looking at Hell's Kitchen as a wonderful opportunity to learn from a top chef.

"Learning is all she's ever wanted to do - because she's had to. People who can read and write naturally don't have to discover that part in the same way. It's made her stronger. She's a team player."
