Dennis Rodman to join Love Island

Former basketball star and Celebrity Big Brother contestant Dennis Rodman is to join ITV1's Love Island.

The former Chicago Bulls star, 45, was one of basketball's biggest names until he retired in 2000. He will join the reality show for up to a week.

He is the third surprise guest to take part in the programme, following Paul Danan and Jackass star Steve-O.

The second series of Love Island has struggled to find viewers, with audiences rarely higher than 2 million.

The show's regular contestants include Chris Brosnan, son of Bond star Pierce, former Eternal singer Kelle Bryan and actor Lee Otway.

Model Alicia Duvall and socialite Lady Victoria Hervey have both been thrown off the programme by public vote.

The Rodman arrives tomorrow night!! The fireworks he will create will probably put Love Island ahead of BB in terms of interest for me!!

He didn't really make a huge impact on CBB but he might be different this time around

Rodman will do his usual sexual preditor act on the female like he did on CBB.. he sums uo the parts rather than the package.

Where lover islanders like sophie and gasgoungs step daughter will say .. who is he ??? the american bird will sworn at the legends feet just luje Tracy Bingun did.

i can see conflict comming with him and Shane as Shane wont like Rodmans attitude to women. where as paul will love him .

the cigar chugging man mountain will be out of place in the show and will be scripted a leave after about 2 days by pre arangement with the production compant just like steve O .. cynocal naff TV ... i love it

Someone swap the prisoners from BB for Anderton,Danan,Brendan Cole(as is only a matter of time before he snaps at Anderton if he has to spend any more time in there),Bombhead(Is it requisite for all Hollyoaks actors to be idiots??) and stick Douvall in for good measure for the pleasure of Blags
