TV bosses slap sex ban on celebrities in ‘The Games’. reality show

TV bosses have reportedly slapped a sex ban on celebrities taking part in ‘The Games’.

Contestants on the Channel 4 reality show are staying in an athlete’s village in Sheffield for nine days - and won’t be able to have any bedroom action with their partners for the entire time.

Show chiefs apparently hope the sex ban will help the athletes - who include singer Javine, Amanda Lamb, Michelle Gayle, Peter Duncan, and MC Plat’num, alias Marcel Somerville from Blazin’ Squad - in the sports arena.

A spokesman for the show - which sees stars battling it out in a range of events, including the 100 metres sprint, gymnastics, archery and curling - is quoted in Britain’s Daily Star newspaper as saying: “It is going to make them more aggressive.” femalefirst

Cornish Lib Dem MP Julia Goldsworthy is set to make her first appearance in Channel Four's celebrity athletics programme The Games on Friday.

She was criticised for agreeing to take part following Respect MP George Galloway's appearance on Big Brother.

Her participation was also put in doubt after she was given a front bench job shadowing Treasury matters, as the show clashes with next week's Budget.

But the producers say they are happy to fit filming around her Budget duties.

Ms Goldsworthy, 27, said she was glad she could still take part and help raise money for Cornwall Air Ambulance.

New Lib Dem leader Menzies Campbell gave her a front bench job shadowing the chief secretary to the treasury earlier this month.

"I have always put my job as an MP before training for the contest but, after all the hard work that's gone into preparing for the competition, I am pleased that I can take part," she said.

"The Cornwall Air Ambulance is a very worthy cause and the thought of raising money for this important charity will help me to persevere when the going gets tough."

Other contestants taking part in the nine-day show in Sheffield include Peter Duncan, Bernie Nolan and Michelle Gayle.

Kayak Queen

Just three months ago she was scared to dip a toe in the water, but tonight Michelle was crowned Kayak Queen.

She produced a perfect run on Europe's fastest slalom course and literally blew her opponents out of the water.

Her winning time of 45:58 was a full 20 seconds faster than second-placed Javine, while pre-race favourite Julia saw her hopes crushed.

Michelle showed no signs of nerves as she cleared all six gates, including the fearsome gate 5 - known as The Muncher.

Accomplished rower Julia followed Michelle, racing through the first three gates as she looked to beat Michelle's impressive time.

But her haste got the better of her when she tackled The Muncher sideways on and promptly found herself gobbled up and flailing around in the water.

Javine was the only athlete besides Michelle to complete the course, but she missed one gate and paid a 10-second penalty.

Bernie, her face a picture of concentration throughout, put in a decent display before falling victim to the The Muncher after clearing three gates.

A disappointed Amanda finished in last place, capsizing just five seconds into the run and clearing just one gate.

But the night belonged to Michelle, who beamed: "I just went for it! I had nothing to lose and everything came right. I didn't expect to win, no one put any money on me to win, so I just relaxed. I'm very happy!" Ch4

It is not only you who has taken a dislike to javine and Michelle. I had Javine as one of my favourites for the title, now I hope Bernie Nolan beats her..... :D
As for Michelle, she appears to be a whinger and will moan her way through every event.
