Right i've had enough, this show is just an embarrassment to all concerned, ratings have disappeared, take it off air now :-?

I love La Lawler, but this has been the most torturous thing i've had to sit through ever, well apart from Back to Reality

Kate you don't have a mass-appeal, get a proper job and supplement your earnings with some modelling and stuff

Just being famous for fames sake is hollow and empty, and this show is about as bad as it gets in this respect, the kate-haters are loving this, they've ammunition to keep their sad little lives active for years, i can't look at another kate interview, with her being relentlessly upbeat about this shambles

Sorry my fellow Kate-fans, but i'm in a bad mood :D

I like the show :D It is not all about Kate either, she is one of a group of people taking part in a show that is up against Dr Who a show that is beating other tv programmes on the box at that time. The kate haters can love the bad viewing figures all they like, doesn't bother me. They have had their favourite BB3/bb4 housemate's do a show that didn't even register on BARB so they cant afford to slag anyone off. ::lol:: ::lol::

Celebrity Wrestling hits the deck

Celebrity Wrestling: only managed to achieve a paltry 14% audience share

ITV1's Saturday night line-up performed badly for the third consecutive week as Celebrity Wrestling slumped to its lowest audience yet.

Despite the show generating acres of publicity, its ratings fell to a new low of 2.6 million viewers in the key early evening slot.

The antics of former Big Brother contestant Kate Lawler and TV presenter Jeff Brazier only managed to achieve a paltry 14% audience share and the knock-on effect plunged ITV1's peak time share below 20%.

Celebrity Wrestling has suffered from the huge popularity of BBC1's Doctor Who, which attracted 7.5 million - four out of ten - viewers from 7pm

Although ITV1 managed to improve on last Saturday night, when none of its five main evening shows had more than an 18% share, only the last 45 minutes of Ultimate Force made any sort of impact on BBC1.

A previously unseen episode from the last series of Ross Kemp's action drama drew 3.9 million viewers and a 20% share, just beating the start of Match of the Day on BBC1.

Highlights of the penultimate weekend of the English Premier League drew 3.4 million viewers to BBC1.

ITV1's evening got off to a lacklustre start when music reality show Hit Me Baby One More Time pulled in just 2.2 million viewers and a 17% share. The BBC1 opposition, Just for Laughs, had 3.4 million and a 27% share.

ITV1's ratings picked up slightly when tennis star Greg Rusedski took part in Celebrity Stitch Up. The show picked up 3.5 million viewers and a 19% share, helping to lift the audience for Hit Me Baby's 15-minute results show to 3 million viewers.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire
? then came to ITV1's rescue, bringing in an average audience of of 5 million between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. However, the long-running quiz was no match for BBC1's Casualty.

The hospital soap had 7.8 million viewers and a 36% share, which gave a leg up to the Strictly Dance Fever results show that followed.

The departure of yet another couple from the Graham Norton-fronted dance contest drew 4.8 million viewers and a 22% share.

Elsewhere, Channel 4's decision to devote its peak time schedule to music cut its share by half, compared with the 13.8% it achieved the previous Saturday.

Just more than a million viewers tuned in to Musicality:
The Winner's Story, although the ratings picked up for a Kylie Minogue double bill.

Coverage of the star's current tour brought in 2.1 million viewers and was followed by a documentary, Kylie Entirely, with 1.2 million viewers at 11.30pm. This beat all the other terrestrial channels except ITV1.

Channel 4 was left with a peak time share of just 6.7%.mediaguardian

I like it-it's not peak time viewing material against Dr Who is it but that's the ITV executives decision because they must have liked it so much. It's their call.
For Kate it's a years salary and a free get fit course and we'll see what else comes along this year.
(FYI Kate wasn't even on it last Saturday-are you a Kate fan at all?)

Yes i am, as you well know Vilt

I just don't like her being slated, getting peeved at the moment

Just hope she can keep her column in "New" magazine, and this disaster won't affect that

Sorry I may not have noticed.

I havn't seen her being "slated"she's sitting pretty from where I'm standing-she's one of 12 or more people on it.

Hope so-those snippets are really intriguing to me-it's something I've missed since Rise finished where she would chatter about what she was doing.(and Capital even more). No disaster for me.

On the front page of the Daily Star:

CELEBRITY WRESTLING AXED
Why? The show had nearly 3 million viewers was light entertainment and was under pressure from Dr Who like everything else in that time slot. More info when I get it.........

Thanks for the info, Maddy

Pity it's been axed - I enjoyed the show, even found myself duckin' and diven' so to speak, while watching some of the bouts. Ah well, I imagine all the contestants were well paid for their hard work and effort. Kate was brilliant in her bouts - though I think Jenny Powel would have beaten her. I guess we'll never find out now, sadly. :-(

Ok, here is what it says about CW in todays Daily Star.

IT'S A KNOCKOUT
Telly disaster CW was last night axed from its prime time Saturday night slot. The flop show - featuring Kate Lalwer, 24, Leilani, 25, and Victoria Silvstedt,30 has been a ratings nightnare for ITV.
And Channel bosses last night sealed the show's fate at an emergency meeting. They will chop it from early evenings where it has been exterminated by BBC1's new-look Dr Who starring C Eccleston and B Piper.
It os most likely to be shunted into a late night graveyard slot. The announcement came just a week after the Daily Star told how telly bosses' patience was running out with the Gladiators-style wrestling show. Last weekend only 2.6million viewers tuned into CW while 7.5million wached Dr Who.

It will be interesting to see what ITV has to replace CW in the prime slot on Saturday night. :D
I'm not concerned if the show is axed or not, I just want to see the final show to find out who the winners are. :8o:
The celebs who took part are not to blame for the show's bad rating figures. As I have said before................Dr Who, is doing very well in the ratings and any new celeb show would find it hard to compete.
