And the winner is... Jayne Torvill
Whoever takes top spot in tonight's 'Dancing on Ice', the real story is the way the 1984 Olympic gold medallist has reinvented herself

Great show and Ray deserved his win, what a great performer he is.
I actually thought Donal was going to rob him of the title because of the support he had from the fans in the audience. Donal did rob Jessica of the second place spot though, he was no way near as good as her but once again we see the female losing out to the male in the public vote. :-?

Dancing on Ice pulls in 10.8m for ITV

The finale of Dancing on Ice attracted a viewing audience of 10.8 million last night when it was aired on TV, according to unofficial figures.

Former X Factor runner-up Ray Quinn beat investigative journalist Donal McIntyre to the winning place.

The channel is thought to have raked in around 12 million viewers when he was named the winner ahead of his competitors.

This is just below the 12.9 million viewers that the show attracted for the 2008 finale and around the same number of viewers that watched Comic Relief at its peak on BBC One last Friday (March 13th).

Liberty X singer Jessica Taylor came third in the competition.

Former glamour model Melinda Messenger and Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett were among the celebrities that took part in this year's show but failed to make the final three.

Speaking to the BBC, Ray explained that the outcome had been uncertain.

"Anything can happen, it's all down to that vote," he said.
