Celebrity Love Island - Abi: I’ll do it for Britain!

To Calum and Rebecca’s delight, the public voted Rebecca to stay in the Love Shack with Calum. And Abi doesn’t mind at all...Honestly...She doesn’t...So much so that she keeps telling everyone. Who’s she trying to kid?!!

She tells the other celebrities before the vote: “I don’t want to go. It’s not fair. It’s going to be horrible. They’ll be having a great time.”

She jokes: “Do I have to have sex? Alright, I’ll do it for Britain. I’ll think of England. Paul have you got a condom I can take into the Love Shack?”
She jokes to Paul: “Don’t look at me like that. I’m not going to have sex with him. I’ll give him a b******!”

She asks Isabella what she should pack and plumps for all of her best bikinis including an expensive one from La Perla that she hasn’t worn yet. And asks Paul: “Does this dress look alright or should I put on a sarong and a bikini?”

Then she puts a flower in her hair and canvases for advice: “I’m going nowhere. All dressed up with nowhere to go. I’m just asking for advice from people.”

She makes her way to the Beach Hut where she says that she doesn’t want to go: “I’m a bit excited to know what’s going on. I just don’t want to upset anyone. I can’t deny (I’d like to see the Love Shack) but not at the expense of ...

"I like Calum a lot. He’s great but he’s probably been getting on with Rebecca so I’m not sure about me replacing her. It’s a bit sloppy seconds.”

When told that she’s not going in, she puts on a brave face: “That’s good. It means they’re getting on really well. Hopefully they’re voting because they’re having a good time not because they don’t like me.”

Celebrity Love Island - Abi and Michael Kiss and make up?

Will Abi and Michael ever get on? The repercussions of their tiff continue today and Abi signals that Michael is horrible to her because he secretly likes her – and she reveals that the feeling is not mutual.

“The boys say it is because he likes me that’s he’s behaving this way. It’s a bit like being in the playground.

“He seems to hate me at times. Initially, when we came here, a few people did say that (he fancied me) and I thought maybe he does. He has a funny way of showing it.
"Sometimes if you do like somebody it’s hard to be yourself. I would have to say I'm not romantically interested in Michael at all. When he’s in a good mood he can be a great guy, but no.

“Maybe I didn't want to lead him on, so I wasn’t flirting with him at all. I can't feel bad because I don't fancy someone here. I'm doing my best to be nice and friendly. What else can I do?”

The morning after the tiff the night before, the pair share an uneasy silence as breakfast is prepared but Abi later kisses Michael on the cheek to make up. She reveals why in the Beach Hut: “This morning he wrote me a note and put it in my bag, just apologising again properly.

"He meant it and that’s fine. I went straight over to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek and we’re fine. I don’t hold grudges but it wasn't very nice last night.”

She explains the cause of the argument. “He called me self-righteous…he made a little comment about my ego...He just turned all nasty.

“He has apologised three times. I like him, he's alright but his moods seem to swing with me.” femalefirst

Michael Geco ...do people really think he fancies Tit`s I very much doubt it, he just lost control of his patience on live tv and was regretting it.

bella . poor luv,, the editors trying to make out she should of given Liz the day trip. typical bias editing i feel. Bellas gold day was hardly thrilling for any girl and if liz had seen the joke in the best looking to ugly test she could have won that one.

God help me ... what the hell am i flicking well going on about ::lol:: ::lol:: ::lol:: ::lol:: ::lol::

Abi Titmuss refused to sign her Celebrity Love Island contract until she was told who else was on the show. She was worried about the calibre of celebrities.

LONDON - ITV's 'Celebrity Love Island' may have been described as the worst reality TV show ever, but it is beating 'Big Brother' in the popularity stakes with more people logging on to find out gossip from the show.

According to the latest data from online competitive intelligence agency, Hitwise, 'Celebrity Love Island' is generating 0.02% of all online searches while Channel 4's 'Big Brother' is lagging behind with 0.008%.

The 'Celebrity Love Island' website http://www.celebrityloveisland.tv is the highest ranked TV show website after 'EastEnders'.

Nurse turned glamour model Abi Titmuss, one of the 'Celebrity Love Island' contestants, is now the most-searched-for personality in the show, beating Kylie Minogue and Hollywood star Orlando Bloom.

The good news for ITV comes as 'Celebrity Love Island' has been described as the worst reality TV show ever by Daily Mirror TV critic Jim Shelley, who dedicated a double-page spread to the 12 reasons why.

'Celebrity Love Island' has also so far failed to make an impression on the ratings front , slumping to a low of 2m last Saturday night but mostly hovering around the 4m mark since its launch.

ITV bosses were said to be considering axing the show or pulling it from its primetime slot last week but after receiving 4.2m viewers last night, 100,000 more than the night before, this now seems unlikely.

ITV1's Celebrity Love Island is facing a new crisis - after a plague of rats started causing problems for producers.

Chief producers have called in rat-catchers after a rat was found in the production office, while others have been spotted in the Granada canteen.

"We're interested in love rats in the show - not the furry kind you find in the jungle," a source told the Daily Star

I like Liz as well, cc100. I think she fancies Calum but we know she will never have a chance with him while the man-eaters Rebecca and Abi are on the prowl

The Observer

It is not often the august agencies of Her Majesty's government have to bother themselves with the heavy-petting antics of ITV's Celebrity Love Island. But maybe they should.
Sexually graphic reality shows featuring bed-hopping contestants are hampering the drive against teenage pregnancy, a key adviser on sexual health warns today.

Programmes such as Celebrity Love Island - in which scantily clad couples are closeted in a tropical 'love shack' in the hope that temptation will get the better of them - or Big Brother, with its cameras trained beneath the duvet, send teens the message that everyone else is having sex.

Writing in today's Observer, Jan Barlow, chief executive of the Brook Advisory Centre, warns parents that teenage pregnancies cannot be tackled without looking at 'the broader social climate', including media influence. 'Just because these programmes are on after the watershed doesn't mean your 10-year-old won't hear about them in the play ground.' Her words follow the furore last week over three teenage sisters who each conceived under the age of 16. Mother Julie Atkins blamed the pregnancies of Jemma, 14, Jade, 15, and Natasha, 18, on a lack of sex education at school. Children's minister Beverly Hughes then intervened, warning that the onus was on parents to reduce pregnancy rates.

Barlow, who sits on the government's Teenage Pregnancy Advisory Group, says that the impact on teens of overtly sexual images must be recognised. 'Everyone watching [these programmes] is saying, are these people going to have sex on TV or aren't they?' she told The Observer. '[It's as if] it's OK to be like that but it's not OK to talk to young people about what they need to do to protect themselves. You end up with generations of young people for whom this is the norm. I don't think we can ignore that.'

It was not for a family planning advice centre to judge TV programmes, but 'if we're happy to live in a society where these sexual images are out there, we can't have young people cut adrift not knowing the first thing about contraception and infection'.

Better sex and relationships education would help teenagers realise such shows were not about real life, she said.

Graham Allen, the Labour MP whose Nottingham North constituency has high rates of teenage pregnancy, said that politicians must help parents to fulfil their responsibilities. 'This is tripe that's on TV and, yes, it is undermining some of the efforts - although it is not an excuse for government not to do the right thing in terms of having a really coherent strategy,' he said.

However a spokesman for Celebrity Love Island, whose contestants include David Beckham's kiss-and-tell PA Rebecca Loos, insisted it was not about sex: 'It's about creating the perfect couple. Our aim isn't to show people having sex or to encourage it. It's to create love.'

The latest series of Big Brother, which began on Friday, also focuses on the possibility of sex: one contestant arrived in a PVC nurse's outfit, while the bedroom features heat-seeking cameras to capture activity under the duvet, and too few beds to accommodate all the contestants. Channel Four declined to comment.
