In a rousing Games competition, Kirsty and Kevin were the toast of the city as they picked up full marks from the Gymnastics, while poor Craig was deemed too injured to take part.

With the men going first, five competitors were soon cut to four as Craig pulled out following a wounded shoulder picked up in the Sumo Wrestling - but the good news after an x-ray was nothing is broken.

All four boys gained Personal Bests and in a fantastic finale, it was Kevin who picked up his first victory by scoring 9.35 from the judges.

Chesney finished second while Philip, despite not appearing happy with his Vault, edged out Jonathon into fourth place.

In the girl's Floor routines, a great array of musical interpretation and physical guile were on display to the appreciative crowd and judges and, once again, all five smashed their Personal Best scores to gain an extra point.

Despite speaking of her dancing fears earlier in the day, overall Games leader Kirsty stole the show and beat the all-time record with 9.00.

Moving to Hot Stuff by Donna Summer clearly impressed those watching, as Anna moved in to second place; Lisa came in third.

Tamara - who had the difficult proposition of going first in the event - scored a creditable 8.25 for fourth, and Mel gained her second point of The Games by topping her Personal Best to The Final Countdown by Europe.

Tomorrow the celebrities hit the ice in the Curling for women and Speed Skating for men.

Bread star Jonathon Morris has done a Germaine Greer on The Games.

He's walked out of the Channel 4 show over worries about his health.

Danny Foster, 25, of former Hear'Say fame, has stepped into the breach and kicks off with the ice-skating challenge. Very brave.

Jonathon, 44, has been anxious and has had trouble sleeping since entering the athletes' village on Good Friday.

He was also unhappy with the judge's scoring of his vaulting - he came last, even though it was a personal best.

He told the other athletes, including Sky presenter Kirsty Gallacher and Eighties sensation Chesney Hawkes: "Just like Germaine Greer did in Big Brother, I have completely under-estimated the show and I'm going.

"I can't prepare or get ready physically and mentally and I am just getting worse and worse."

Red Dwarf's Craig Charles has already been put out of action after getting injured in a sumo wrestling contest.

There are 18 sporting disciplines for the 10 athletes to compete in before the April final.

Inside Story: Why Jonathon Quit

Jonathon Morris left The Games this morning, but not before telling his fellow athletes the reasons behind his sensational decision.

Sitting them down at the table, Jonathon appeared anxious to allay any fears the others held about his motives for going.

"Don't go, don't go," implored Kirsty, giving the erstwhile Bread star a big hug before apologising.

"Don't say you're sorry, it's just one of those things. It's life," Jonathon reassured Kirsty.

"It's to do with me," he continued. "I completely underestimated what it would take for me inside here.

"My background in sport is pretty different from Kev's or Phil's - I can't prepare mentally or physically," admitted Jonathon with admirable honesty and composure.

"We all have our own reasons and our own agendas. The reasons are manifold. I just want you to respect the decision.

"And I leave with honour and dignity - I love you to bits!" he stated, adding: "I've enjoyed the experience. This is the best job I've had in years."

"I want to go home to my kids," he concluded, as the others continued to worry they could have done more to help.

"Is there anything else we cold have done to make your time here easier?" asked Anna, drawing a resolute 'No' from Jonathon.

And with that, the actor packed his bags and left The Village for good. Ch4

I don't actually think he's that good looking!! There is no-one that really stands out for me as someone I'd really like to win like last year with Katy and Shane!

I don't like that Kirsty lady, I sooooo wanted Mel to win the curling last night just to see her face ::lol::
