From Popbitch:-

We find a purpose for Danny

We're as baffled as you as to
what qualifies Danny from The
Script to sit alongside Tom Jones
on a talent contest. However,
word reaches us that he's a
rather nice guy.

A Popbitch reader spotted Danny
at LAX airport on Saturday. Her
16 year old daughter is a massive
fan of The Script, but was too shy
to ask Danny for a picture, afraid
that he would be annoyed at people
approaching him in public. So she
retreated to the toilet.

When she returned, Danny sauntered
over to her and asked if she'd mind
having her picture taken with him.
The girl was stunned, but chuffed -
not knowing that her parents had
approached Danny while she was
in the loo, and Danny was only too
happy to play along.

The Voice UK: series two, week five auditions, review

After last week’s snappy show, it was a longer edition of The Voice (BBC One) tonight. Although the production tried to keep the pace high, rattling through 22 acts in 78 minutes, this penultimate round of Blind Auditions still felt slow and bloated without commercial breaks for respite.

With the teams taking shape, this episode focused on the coaches competing to recruit top talent. If two or more turned their sci-fi chairs around, the power flipped to the contestants while they squabbled, played mind games and tried to sell themselves. The trouble with these sequences is that it doesn’t matter hugely to the viewer who they pick. Once the chairs spin and the act is guaranteed to progress, tension dissipates. It’s hard to invest too much in whether they pick wotsit from The Script or thingummybob from Black-Eyed Peas.

Too expensive?

BBC bosses considering axing The Voice?

Despite the fact that the audience for the singing show has been growing week on week, ever since the second series began in March of this year, insiders have told The Daily Mail that making the show is just too expensive and the ratings aren’t justifying the huge budget required.
