JAYNE Middlemiss and Fran Cosgrave sit on wicker thrones last night after being crowned winners of Celebrity Love Island.
Ex-topless model Jayne and nightclub boss Fran split a £100,000 prize.
Viewers voted the pair their perfect couple after five weeks on Fiji’s Bounty Island in the ITV1 show. Thrilled Geordie Jayne, 34, said: “This is the best thing I’ve ever done.”
And she said of her relationship with beaming Fran, 27: “He’s a top bloke.
“I was feeling some sort of sexual chemistry.”
Irish party lover Fran said after the result: “Thank you so very much.” Physically shaking, he added: “I’m really shocked. I’m just stuck for words.”
Earlier he said of dark-haired Jayne — known as Jayne Marconi in her days on Page 3: “She’s great.”
Fran and Jayne were covered in flower petals as the series came to a close.
Jayne said: “We’re like brother and sister. We learnt a lot together.”
And Fran said: “We had a really great time. The whole experience has been massive.” Ex-footballer Lee Sharpe, 34, and singer Liz McClarnon, 24, walked away empty-handed after reaching the final four.
Liz said: “I’m disappointed at losing but I’m happy that Jayne won.”
Lee said: “Liz is an amazing person. I love her to bits. She is like a little sister and I really care for her.
“It’s been a great few weeks and I’m happy for Fran and Jayne.”
The stars had been whittled down from an original 13 contestants. Jayne and Fran were favourites to win.
