Road Raja will be screened on Sky One in six one- hour episodes in September 2004.

The reality tv series from Sky One will test the driving skills of six B-list celebrities to the limit on some of the worlds most dangerous roads.
The six celebs will have to pass a local driving test, coping with instructors and examiners speak no English. Then they will set off in taxis, rickshaws and even on elephants through the teaming streets of Mumbai, formerly Bombay.

Guess who one of the six celebs is....?

None other then the very man himself who slagged off Reality TV
and called Ant & Dec idiots!

Mr Idiotic himself Mr Dennis Waterman!. will appear on the show with.
Julie Goodyear, Caprice, Russel Amerasekera, Tania Strecker and Keith Allen.
Waterman admits he expects to be 'slated' as he prepares to fly off to India with the rest of the cast.

Driving in the 'Wicklow Mountains' in Ireland with my brother, sister inlaw and my daughter last year. The scenery was breathtaking and I was sooooo happy to be with my brother because he had just recovered form a very long bout of depression.

Caprice

Don't think I'll be putting any bets on this choice.

My best bud and I did a 'Thelma and Louise' effort and got a VW van to tour round Australia a number of years back. That was a journey that was. The amount of times we parked up at night, not realising due to the darkness, how inappropriate a place we'd stopped at. Will leave the details out I feel. That was a great holiday and what a blow out and wicked time we had.

A pal and I drove across America in a Toyota 4x4 and had a couple of similar embarrassing mornings! What an experience though.

Did a tour of the east coast of Canada. Had to laugh as kept trying to change the gears with my left hand. Evetually after ALL that driving got used to it, by that point we were heading home.

Getting itchy feet just thinking of it. :-?

I'm learning to drive at the moment.
The thought of learning with an instructor that spoke no English... haha!!

He told me I should become a racing driver during my last lesson, and keeps reminding me that if I get caught speeding, my points will be carried forward onto my actual license. Oops!

Nicki when I was learning to drive like a lot of people I was scared sh*tless on each driving lesson.
On one lesson we had come in off an A road and I was told to continue down the side road. I pulled in behind a white van, we were sitting there for about 4 minutes when Bill, my instructor, said to me....when are you thinking of moving on? I said when the van moved I would move, he said, seeing as how the van is parked we might be sitting here for quite a while. ::lol:: ::lol::

I've heard loads of amusing stories since I've started learning!!
I'm starting all the manouevres next lesson, and my friend told me what happened to her when she was reversing into a parking bay.
She was having difficulty knowing which way to turn the wheel to straighten the car up, and her instructor told her to think about which way the car was going. Her reply was.... "backwards!"

There's been no really scary moments yet.... but every time I drive between 2 sets of parked cars, I go "eeeeeeeeee" and my instructor just sits there, laughing!

Has anyone watched this hilarious show.? ::lol:: ::lol::

Julie Goodyear, Caprice, Russel Amerasekera and Keith Allen are so funny, Dennis Waterman is a pain in the a***.
Last nights task was: Driving a taxi for the day, the winner would be the celeb who made the most money. The celebs went shopping for 'tat' to adorn their own taxi for the task the idea being the more 'tat' you dressed your taxi with the more custom you would get.
Julie Goodyear went shopping with Tania Strecker, Tania, is not very good at haggling......Julie is an expert haggler.
They were in the market trying to get through the crowd when Tania called back to Julia, what are we looking for? Julia said, "anything that glitters......any old shite." ::lol:: ::lol::
Keith Allen put anything he could lay his hands on onto his taxi, a pot-plant got pride of place on the bonnet. I got interrupted by an overseas phone call and did not see the end of the show so I don't know who won the task. If anyone was watching the show please let me know how won. ()^
