On the 14th of June, Island Records will release three singles by new bands, one of which will get an album deal, depending on the sales. Breaking Point is a reality tv show from MTV that will follow Island's A&R executives as the whittle nine hopeful bands down to the lucky three. There are no celeb panels or audiance votes. Instead the programme aims to show the process from discovery to possible stardom. Breaking Point: 9pm MTV tonight |
