THINK on this for a New Year resolution. Lemar is still in the charts but only came fourth in Fame Academy.
Kwame was a casualty on the celebrity version of the same show while the gorgeously talented Javine was voted off Girls Aloud in Popstars - The Rivals.
Three things they all have in common: They are more talented than most, they are black and they didn't win their respective competitions.
Nor has any black person won any of the Big Brothers.
Just last week three out of the four Strictly Come Dancing judges gave the mesmerising Denise Lewis (pictured) the thumbs up as their champion of champions.
The phone vote failed to endorse that.
Maybe a New Year resolution should be for us all to ask what are we really, truthfully looking for when we vote for a winner?
