By SARA NATHAN :The SUN SPIKY-haired chef Gary Rhodes has signed to take over from Gordon Ramsay in Hell’s Kitchen. Gary, 44, will join Jean Christophe Novelli, 42, to cook up a storm on the next ITV1 series. This time viewers will be taught to cook instead of celebs. The punters will then serve to celebrity diners. Gary was awarded his first prestigious Michelin star at just 26 and has since won four more. He said: “I am incredibly passionate about cooking and expect everyone who works in my kitchen to give 200 per cent at all times. “I won’t tolerate passengers or anyone whose sole aim is just to get their face on TV.” Jean Christophe said: “For me food and cooking is an art, very creative and kind of sexy. “For the trainees it’s a great chance to learn the passion of cooking.” Fiery swearer Gordon has signed a golden handcuffs deal to stay with Channel 4. Hell’s Kitchen will be screen live nightly on ITV from an exclusive London restaurant. |

Quote: Former All Saint Nicole Appleton is to be a presenter on reality show Hell's Kitchen.
Nicole, partner of Oasis star Liam Gallagher, will be the red carpet reporter interviewing celebrity diners. And she has promised to invite Liam to the restaurant to sample the cooking. "Liam and my family are really supportive and I know they'll be watching every night and will hopefully come to eat in the restaurant," she said. "I loved watching the first series of Hell's Kitchen and was really pleased to be asked to be the red carpet reporter. "It's my first presenting role so I will be a bit nervous, but I'm sure it's going to be great fun. I can't wait to sample the food and meet the celebrities on the red carpet. "Hopefully I can inject some of my own glamour to proceedings - I'm already shopping for outfits!" Nicole follows in the footsteps of Jordan, who was red carpet reporter for the first series. The ITV show is returning on April 18 for a second series with celebrity chefs Jean-Christophe Novelli and Gary Rhodes in place of Gordon Ramsay. Nicole will host the ITV2 coverage, Hell's Kitchen Extra Portions, alongside Mark Durden-Smith. Besides interviewing the stars, she will also deliver her verdict on the best-dressed diners each night. Angus Deayton will present the main ITV1 show in which the celebrity trainees have been ditched in favour of members of the public who fancy themselves as master chefs. Nicole is not the first Appleton to appear in a reality TV show - her sister Natalie was a contestant on the last series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! ThisIsLondon |
