The most famous sisters in the world of tennis - Venus and Serena Williams - are set to appear in their own reality TV series.

They have signed up to film a six-part series based on their lives on and off the court.

Venus, 24, said: "The series will provide our fans with an up-close, inside look at our lives away from the tennis courts."

The programme's producers said the half-hour shows would focus on the pair "as they find their place in the world outside of tennis".

Viewers will see them "interacting with their family and friends" and "find out what they do for fun."

Serena, 23, is currently ranked fourth in the world while Venus is ninth.

They have both branched out of the sports world to work on their own projects.

Serena has guest-starred in various US television shows and her sister launched her own interior-design firm.
