I watch the show Cat-woman. I always feel sorry the loser, they put so much into their 'one shot' for the chanch to fight for the big-purse pay day and the hope to become a real contender only to lose it all in a blink of an eye. Sly, Sugar and the rest of the team really work hard with the guys and are as upset when one of them have the leave the house. |

The Contender is axed Bad news ... Sylvester Stallone's boxing show will not be back for a second series. SYLVESTER Stallone's reality TV show The Contender has been cancelled after just one series. The boxing show has been a big hit with critics but has failed to attract the big audiences the producers expected. One of the contestants, 23-year-old Najai Turpin, also committed suicide in February - although Sylvester says it was unrelated to his exit from the show. The ITV series has followed the progress of 16 professional boxers dreaming of becoming a champion fighter. The final two boxers will fight live at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on May 24 for a boxing contract and $1million. Sun |

Apparently Sly, Sugar Ray and Mark Burnett are in discussion with sports network ESPN about possibly making a second series of The Contender (source Reality Blurred, but contains spoilers on the outcome of the series). |
