I'M BRITAIN'S NO1 TV REJECT

Reality shows snub Shane

WANNABE super-flop Shane Ryan has auditioned for a whopping THIRTY reality TV shows - but hasn't got on a single one.

BBC's Driving School turned him down because he already has a licence.

C4's Wife Swap wouldn't have him because he's not married. And when he arrived at the Beeb's Antiques Roadshow he DROPPED a 90-year-old vase.

He said glumly: "I must be the country's biggest wannabe."

Twenty-stone Shane also failed to get his garden redesigned by shows like BBC2's Ground Force, because he only has a tiny concrete yard.

He even tore his home apart to have it reborn in a DIY makeover - but all in vain. In fact, he reckons he has written to every telly show that invites applications. He's tried Channel 4's Big Brother FIVE times, BBC's Pop Idol and Fame Academy and ITV's Popstars and X Factor. He has also written to 25 quiz shows including the BBC's Weakest Link and ITV's Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?

The 43-year-old from Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwicks, said: "When I got turned down for Soapstars in Birmingham I went to London for another audition in disguise. But I still failed."

He is desperate to get a glimpse of himself on TV and has sat in many studio audiences including those for ITV's Ant And Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. But he is never filmed clapping.

He did once win a fleeting part in the Beeb's Cutting It and said proudly: "I walked past a pub window."Sundaypeople
