Geldof creates new TV phenomenon

Bob Geldof is so thrilled with the success of his reality TV shows, he's currently developing a set of interactive channels specifically designed for different levels of society.

The anti-poverty campaigner and director of production company Ten Alps Communications was responsible for bringing the first fly-on-the-wall series, Survivor, to British screens in 1997, with his former TV company Planet 24 - and he's well aware of how profitable this style of show is.
He says: "Reality TV is hoplessly awful, riveting and it makes millions in advertising."

But recently he's turned his focus to making more specific programmes which will promise something for everyone.

He says: "If the reaction is positive then why not have Firemen TV and Mechanics TV?

"Digital interactive television allows people to communicate with each other about their lives." breakingnews

Can't we anymore communicate about our lives with each other? Do we really need TV to allow people to communicate? :-?
