Tearful housemate Anne is star of TV's Fit Club
By Jon Wise

TV presenter Anne Diamond is to go from Big Brother to Big Blubber by joining Celebrity Fit Club.

She is among eight scale-busting celebs who will battle the bulge over three months under the gaze of US fitness guru Harvey Walden, 38.

Anne, the former queen of breakfast telly, was tense and emotional in the celeb version of BB in 2002.

And one insider said: "I won't be surprised if there are tears if the regime gets too tough for her."

Anne, 51, the only star refusing to reveal her weight, will join podgy astrologer Russell Grant, former Hollyoaks star Mikyla Dodd and actor Jeff Rudom.

Also in the line up are This Morning TV expert and former People writer Sharon Marshall, darts ace Bobby George, former footballer Micky Quinn and journalist Carole Malone.

Our insider said: "Drill sergeant Harvey means business this year and sparks are sure to fly.

"He is really going to put the celebrities through their paces and they will be pushed to their limit.

"All the stars who have signed up could do with losing weight and they know it. But whether they'll be able to stick to the fierce regime is yet to be seen."

The celebs will report to the fit camp in January - AFTER they've enjoyed a festive blow out. They will split into two teams and compete to lose weight.

Harvey said: "Britain needs a serious wake up call and I am here to do it.

"What people need to realise is they have to exercise to lose weight. It's not hard, it just requires discipline."
