Channel 4 is to broadcast a new three-part reality show in which a group of troubled teenagers will look after rescued dogs.
Kids and Dogs follows six dysfunctional and unmotivated youngsters for a month as they train six rescued dogs in time to be shown at Crufts.
The participants will be matched with a dog of an opposite temperament to themselves. A shy youngster will be given a boisterous dog, while a cocky teen will be given a timid dog.
Dog behavioural specialist Lynne Barber will guide the teens who can take their dogs home at the end of the series if they prove successful trainers.
The three 60-minute programmes are going into production soon.
