STRIPPING down to her sexy smalls, Essex stunner Sam glanced over at geeky Edmund sitting nervously on the posh four-poster bed
The nerdy chess enthusiast made no attempt to conceal his fascination, after all he'd never seen a half-naked girl before, let alone shared a bed with one!
Welcome to the surreal world of Beauty And The Geek.
The outrageous E4 reality show pairs seven gorgeous girls with seven super-brainy nerds to live together in a Scottish castle.
The stunners include models, a podium dancer, glamour girls and a sexy waitress, while the geeks include an Oxford-educated wildlife buff, a jam sandwich-loving amateur radio enthusiast and a Disney-obsessed theologist.

Sexy singleton Sam was paired with 20-year-old nerd Edmund during the show.
The 19-year-old - who works as a waitress near Epping - was voted the prettiest girl in her school and says she doesn’t like ugly people.
The feisty beauty told us: “When I first met Ed he was really nervous and jumpy. He looked like he had spent his entire life locked up in a dark room with only a computer for company.
“He was really pale and I realised I’ve never met anyone quite so geeky in my life.
“I was popular at school and everyone knew who I was. I don’t have any nerdy or ugly friends. Why would I have? Ugly people get you down.
“People always say I’m pretty and glamorous so I couldn’t believe it when I was paired with Ed.
“I just thought, ‘What have I let myself in for?'"
She added: “I think I made him really nervous. Our room only had one bed so I told him to jump in with me rather than kip on the floor.
“And there were plenty of occasions when I would catch him looking at me in his funny little way when I got undressed!”
During their time in the castle, the beauties and geeks undertook a variety of tasks, competing at spelling, dancing, rocket science, biology and massage.
Based on the US hit show, one poor performing couple will be booted out of the castle each week.
Sam told us: “Ed was particularly keen on the massage task, maybe because it involved me wearing a bikini top and not much else.
“He kept asking if we could practice which I found a bit funny."
Chess club captain Edmund - who is a student at Cambridge University - told us: “Massaging Sam was an interesting experience. I’m sure there will be plenty of jealous guys watching the show.
“She's undoubtedly gorgeous, in fact she was the best looking girl there.
“But she’s also the kind of girl who has got through life on looks alone. She thought monkeys have two brains!"
Edmund says appearing on the show has changed his life immeasurably.
“Girls are much less repulsed by me now," he told us. "I used to wear dodgy trainers and really baggy T-shirts so I’m not surprised I had no luck with the ladies.”
Elsewhere FHM High Street Honey Natalie Pike, 22, was teamed with maths society captain Jamie, 26.
Stunning Natalie told us: “Geeks are great, I recommend every girl should give a geek a chance.
“They were so intelligent and spoke to us like they were actually interested in what we had to say.
“Jamie and I hit it off straight away. I think he was secretly impressed I’ve got an A-level in maths and a better degree than him!
“Actually, that impressed him much more than my FHM front cover!"
Jamie said: “I expected Natalie to be rather thick. I had read FHM a couple of times and always thought the girls were fairly alright but I didn’t imagine you would be able to strike up a conversation with one.
“Nat couldn’t be further away from the glamour girl stereotype.
“I’ve got a real interest in advanced maths and she seemed pleased when I explained what it’s all about."
Another contestant was Tory Boy Will, a 26-year-old with a penchant for older women.
He once graced page one of The Sun after drunkenly snogging Tory wife Christine Hamilton!
He revealed: “The girls on the show were a lot younger than I normally go for, I like mature women.
“Christine is a very attractive lady, but the girls on the show were probably ‘fitter’.”
And despite being paired with boxing ring beauty Alex for the show Will later found love with wannabe actress Alyssa.
But you'll have to tune in to see how the uber-geek actually landed his girl!
BEAUTY And The Geek starts on E4 on Tuesday at 10pm and will be shown on Channel 4 at a later date.
