Lee Ryan Leaves Hell's Kitchen

Lee Ryan has quit ITV1's Hell's Kitchen following a row with chef Marco Pierre White.

The former Blue singer left the kitchen to calm down following a heated row with the chef. On his return, White told him he was no longer part of the team. Ryan then took the decision to leave the show.

Ryan said earlier he was not comfortable with the programme.

 Which bit?

"With his tousled hair and cheeky grin, this lad looks like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth."

That bit?

or the poaching bit? or the three wives? or just the great chef? :D

Neil Hamilton just made me laugh with a really silly comment. Christine was saying that she thought the scallops should be a little more yielding (ie better cooked) and Neil quipped "Perhaps it's not a female scallop".

Am not sure if it is just me, but it seems that Brian gets the most 'talking heads' time. Wonder why this is. Did anyone else notice this?

You read my mind ()^

Just thinking to myself "can no one else talk?" Mind you, he is rather humorous so I don't mind.

Oh I don't mind either. I was wondering if the reason was because no one else had anything entertaining to say.

I am disliking Jim Davidson a lot, but am not sure if I am just taking against him, because I dislike him so much anyway. Barry is so sweet, trying to make the peace.

Gawd Angus Deyton, really can't ad lib, can he? That last little bit where he obviously didn't have a script was pathetic.

The cool, measured (but with a touch of menace) team leader style...

I also happen to have a similar attitude to Marco about customers - never, I repeat NEVER ask me for a refund or a free meal! People have lost arms and legs when they've tried that with me.
;)

Definitely not the 3 wives or the other personal crap... I'm a tiger at work but a pussy cat at home.

No script... Angus! Are you sure? I thought it was in his contract that he has a team of polished writers to script all his off-the-cuff remarks.

By the way... I quite liked Jimmy D tonight. He was trying to guide the team and to be honest they needed it.

Blimey, Angus Deayton is what I love about the show. Yes, he's scripted, but his laconic, cynical delivery is perfect for taking the p!ss - & that is talent.
He's served his time now & I'd love to see him back on HIGNFY.

Lee's shock show exit
Lee Ryan dramatically left Hell’s Kitchen after a day which saw him involved in a series of rows with a fellow celebrity chef and Marco Pierre White.

During the third show in the series, Lee clashes with Jim Davidson and is generally having a bad day.

The first row broke out after Jim had been made team captain by Marco, who told the team to make a dish within half an hour. After confusion and indecision in the kitchen, Lee went ahead and started to make a sauce, but Jim disagreed with what he was making. "Everyone agrees, and then you said no," Lee replied. "What’s the matter with you man?"

"What’s the matter with me?" Jim replied. "I thought I was the captain, but obviously I’m not." Lee then told him not to let the captaincy go to his head. "Well where else is it going to go?" Jim asked, to which Lee replied, "Well, up your a**e, obviously."

Still angry later, Lee went to speak to Marco about another incident, and another row broke out which led to his departure.

This story will be played out fully in Thursday's show.
