Ray Quinn’s Going To Win, The Little Sod

So what are we most looking forward to on Sunday’s Dancing On Ice? Well, Todd Carty, obviously. And that’s about it. Oh, and the empty sensation that we’re wasting our lives. Those two things. Mainly the second one, now we come to think of it.

Dancing on Ice's Todd Carty: My wife wants to wring that Jason’s neck

They call him Todd Carthorse ... the clumsy Tucker who turned Dancing On Ice into Dancing OFF Ice after crashing headlong into the scenery last week.

But like John Sergeant before him, ex-EastEnder Todd Carty’s so-bad-they’re-good routines have sent his pop-ularity soaring and propelled him into the nation’s hearts.

TODD'S A ROTTEN FAKER
By Sofia Zagzoul

CALAMITY skater Todd Carty is faking his way through Dancing On Ice, claims his show rival.

The ex-EastEnder was seen skating right off the rink in a haphazard routine last week which won the hearts of viewers.

He was dubbed the John Sergeant of the show after the hapless Strictly Come Dancing contestant.

But ice rival and TV presenter Michael Underwood says Todd, 45, is just playing a role in order to win votes and is secretly quite good on the ice.

Michael said: “Todd is nowhere near as bad as he is making out.
“When the cameras are off he is gliding along the ice but then once the routine starts it’s like he can’t stay upright all of a sudden.

“He is definitely playing the clown and trying to fulfil the John Sergeant role.”

Todd’s partner Susie Lipanova, 34, is terrified his clown act could end up with her getting hurt, Michael claimed.

The 33-year-old said: “Susie has actually talked about how worried she is about getting injured.

“OK, Todd’s clowning around is funny up to a point but she doesn’t want to get dragged down with him if one of the silly stunts goes wrong.

“At the end of the day he might be having fun but this is her career and she feels she’s taking a big risk skating with him.”

Michael also stoked fears that some celebs may quit in protest at having to compete with Ray Quinn. The TV host is one of a growing number of stars who think there’s no point anyone else taking part because the former Brookside star is so good.

Ray, 20, who came second to Leona Lewis in The X Factor in 2006, has already wowed the panel and audiences with his slick routines. And Michael, who is partnered with professional skater Melanie Lambert, says Ray could have the entire competition wrapped up – if Todd’s clumsy act fails to catch on with viewers.

Michael said: “Ray is so good even the professional skaters are saying he’s better than they are.

“He’s got incredible skill on the ice, it’s like he is stuck to it and has been skating his whole life. He has done extensive dance training and is like a pro at rollerblading.

“Then he’s fearless and up for taking risks. You do end up saying to yourself, ‘Why are the rest of us even in this competition?’

“He is head and shoulders above all of us. And he’s desperate to win – I don’t think he could take coming second again after missing out to Leona in The X Factor.”

Michael Underwood Leaves Dancing On Ice AGAIN!

Michael Underwood has been voted of ITV’s Dancing On Ice.

This is Michael’s third stint on the show and thankfully after tonight we will never be forced to watch him skate again.

Michael found himself in the bottom two with Melinda Messenger and for the first time this series the pair split the judges vote with two voting to save Michael and three backing Melinda.

I feel that Michael lost support tonight not because his skating was bad, if that were the reason then Coleen and Todd would never have survived for so long, but more because he criticised Todd Carty in the newspaper this week. Todd is obviously the nations sweetheart this month and to diss him is to bring the wrath of the British public on your head.

So Michael’s gone…..no big loss there!
