Hasselhoff stuns 'Britain's Got Talent' producers with demands

David Hasselhoff is demanding a host of beauty treatments backstage at 'Britain's Got Talent'.

The former 'Baywatch' star - who is joined on the judging panel on the ITV1 talent show by comedian Michael McIntyre and actress Amanda Holden - has stunned producers with his demands, which include having huge mirrors in his dressing room so he can admire himself.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "David's hilarious. He doesn't care that everyone thinks he's vain. In fact, he loves it. He asked for an extra large mirror after seeing a huge one in Amanda's dressing room. He wanted his to be even bigger. It's all a game to him.

"He also requested a stack of beauty products including fake tan, face cream and posh nail treatments to ensure he looks good every day."

David showed off his vanity when he posed for a picture with a fan outside the Radisson Hotel in Manchester after checking out his face and hair in a compact mirror.

The fan said: "I asked for a photo but he made me show him the snap afterwards. He said, 'You better make me look good. I need to look good at all times.' "

Britain's Got Talent Online Auditions

Online auditions for the new series of Britain's Got Talent have been opened by ITV.

The producers of the show have decided to allow contestants to enter via Youtube and talented wannabes will be able to upload a video of their act. If they pass the initial stages, they will then be allowed to audition in person for the judging panel Michael McIntyre, Amanda Holden and David Hasselhoff.

Those wishing to take part should go to youtube.com/britainsgottalent. The closing date for uploads is Thursday, March 20.

ITV will produce a shortlist of fifty acts and after watching how the public react, bosses will choose 20 to go forward to the judges in April.

Executive producer Richard Holloway said: “We’re very excited about this new development for Britain’s Got Talent. The new dimensions to the auditions stage means we can cast our nets further and wider than before, encouraging new areas of talent to enter the competition.”

YouTube’s senior director of content partnerships, Patrick Walker, added: “YouTube is a great place to discover hidden talent. We’re thrilled to be involved with one of the biggest TV shows to give more people a chance to participate and possibly even become the next star of Britain’s Got Talent.”
