Hot on the heels of The Hotel Inspector, It's the turn of failing restaurants to be given a kick up the backside, this time by the suave Fernando Peire, who has run several of London's best restaurants. His first target is a family-run Italian restaurant in Ramsgate that's stuck in the lacklustre salad-bar days of the 1970s. Owner Maria doesn't believe the problem lies with them and resists Fernando's attempts at salvation every step of the way. She's appallingly rude to him. "You are not my type," she says dismissively before refusing his every suggestion, whether it's checking out the competition, dismantling her dusty Lady Diana shrine or - heaven forbid - getting rid of that flipping salad bar.
