Forget Jersey Shore, it’s time for
Geordie Shore HeatworldMTV are going to make a UK version of Jersey Shore set in Newcastle. The show will feature 12 Geordies who’ve never met before living together in a house. The cast is going to include a mixture of would-be models, singers, actors and party girls.
So everything you would hope from a Newcastle version of our favourite American reality TV show.
A spokesperson for MTV said: “We want Newcastle’s hottest, funniest and fittest people for this exciting new show. We want people who are proud of their Geordie roots, love to party, are good-looking, can turn heads and are up for a laugh.”
This all sounds amazing, the only possible issue is that the Geordie accent (and dialect) can fairly hard to understand and so subtitles may be needed for some bits, or a translator.
