The Voice beaten in the ratings by Saturday Night Takeaway

In the battle of Saturday night TV The Voice was topped by Saturday Night Takeaway.

Ant and Dec’s ITV1 show proved to be the biggest hit with viewers over the weekend, Takeaway notched up an average of 7.19 million viewers, while the launch episode of The Voice fell behind with 6.24 average viewers.

The gap is a little closer if we look at the peak viewing figures, The Voice went up to 8.15 million, while SNT edged ahead with 8.23 million.
