Britain's Got Talent 2014
ITV, STV, UTV: Saturday 12th April 7:15pm - 8:30pm
Repeat: ITV +1, STV +1 Tomorrow 8:15pmE
Repeat: ITV2 Tomorrow 11:15pm

1/13. Ant and Dec return with a fresh search for the nation's brightest new star, and there's a new addition to the judges' desk in the form of the golden buzzer, which gives Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon the power to send an act straight through to the live semi-finals regardless of their fellow panellists' opinions. However, they can each press it only once during the series. Leaving no stone unturned, the auditions visit London, Cardiff, Manchester, Birmingham and, for the first time, Belfast, as a wide variety of acts, from comedians to contortionists, singers to spoon players, compete for the chance to win £250,000 and a slot at this year's Royal Variety Performance.

Britain's Got Talent fakery row:

Producers scout PROFESSIONALS to compete in new season... and star act, 79, has already won in Spain!

It has also emerged that half of the contestants on tonight’s show come from abroad, leaving critics asking whether the programme has given up on its quest to find the best of British talent.

Out of 15 acts, tonight’s episode will feature seven foreign entrants, including a German violinist, a Frenchman who drums upside down, a Greek karaoke singer, a Ukrainian dance troupe and a cabaret act from the US.

Britain's Got Talent
SERIES 8 - EPISODE 2
ITV +1, STV +1: Sat 19th Apr 8pm
Repeat: ITV2 Today 11:20pm

2/13. The annual search for a star continues as more auditionees try to win over Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon with their talents. The acts all have their eyes on the prize of £250,000 and a slot at this year's Royal Variety Performance, but first they must secure a place in the live semi-finals. Will any of them be good enough for the judges' new golden buzzers, like last week's dancing duo Paddy and Nico? Ant and Dec host.
